I'm voting for Bisping personally. He's been in multiple title eliminators, has a nice win streak going and is coming off of a win against Anderson Silva who is still a very formidable opponent....
Questionable judges' decision, though.

Give Bisping his shot. The guy has paid his dues to the company, & this is pretty much his last chance. Rockhold will lay waste to him again, but at least give the man his shot. Then they can do Rockhold v. Jacare after this one.

Weidman should have to have at least one fight to get another shot, since he didn't deserve a rematch and gets hurt too often and just ends up clogging things up. A good title eliminator match would be him against Romero or, if he isn't on the shed for too long, a match with Gegard.

Bisping got fucking starched by Rockhold already...
His name should NOT be mentioned ANYWHERE near the title shot.

The title shot is NOT a charity; it's for those who have proven worthy.
Bisping is NOT worthy; he's mediocre.

Jacare is the clear choice for destroying Belfort, the guy who destroyed the current champion Rockhold.

It's hard to call that Vitor the same guy, for obvious reasons. Not discrediting the win, just sayin'

Questionable judges' decision, though.

It wasn't really a questionabledecision. Questionable non-stoppage, yes. But the decision was pretty clear since Silva decided to only participate in one round of the fight.

True, but given the circumstances I think it makes more sense to go with Bisping since Jacare just fought. As a fan I'd rather see a fully prepared matchup between Souza and Rockhold, not a super short notice fight.

Edit: I'm ok with a short notice Bisping fight, since he's get steam rolled no matter what. At least it keeps Rockhold on the card and let's the #1 contender in Jacare prepare.

Jacare is the only real option. WTF is up with these other options...lol, I hate Belfart, but i would give luke a shot at redemption before i pick any other choices in this stupid poll.

Robert Whittaker is on a 5 fight win streak. think he would be more interesting than Bisping. But I'm sure the UFC will go with Bisping sell more ppvs for the casual fans. The shit part is Bisping got owned bad by Luke and I don't think he's improved enough in his last 3 fights to change that from happening again. Glad I didn't buy tickets for the live event.

>Belfart
>This poll is stupid because I don't agree with any of the other choices outside of my own

Grow up

You know what it is.

Basically my memory of Bisping vs. Anderson was of a bout that's not really a big feather in Bisping's cap... even though he did a decent job of point fighting.

Bisping and then Jacare faces the winner at MSG.. or vice versa.. or Weidman does..

And yes I know that was confusing. Hopefully you get the gist.

He definitely scored points when he wobbled Anderson and then dropped him later

I didn't add Romero because he's suspended. Lol @ the idea of Romero fighting someone on 2 weeks notice anyway. He would collapse due to exhaustion from the walk to the octagon.

I'm voting for Bisping personally. He's been in multiple title eliminators, has a nice win streak going and is coming off of a win against Anderson Silva who is still a very formidable opponent. While it's not an optimal fight considering Rockhold decisively finished him, that is usually the case when fighters pull out of an event that is 2 weeks away. You get sub-optimal choices.

There's also the news that came out with Jacare having a nagging knee injury. He's also on a 2 week suspension. While people are arguing Bisping wouldn't be competitive, how competitive would a fight with a banged up Jacare who just fought be?

Mods, I thought this thread was different than the other threads speculating on who might get the title shot, seeing as I just want to gauge what most people generally think. But if it's not thread worthy, feel free to delete

he was humiliated by Luke not long ago.
Why on earth should him fight Luke again???

Conor would be around 180 at the moment?
Rockhold vs. McGregor would be interesting. Didn't he say he wanted to move around weight classes? I know Rockhold would likely kick the shit out of him easily, but entertaining it would be.
