Thinking of UFC fighters of old like Big Nog, Frank Mir, Royce Gracie, Fabricio Werdum, BJ Penn, and more recently Damian Maia, Ryan Hall, Paul Craig. These days who are the ranked or up and coming BJJ black belts or submission artists in the vein of the fighters mentioned?

Charles Oliveira... the guy with the most subs and finishes in UFC history.
this right here. Oliveira's record for submissions and finishes likely wont be broken any time soon. or ever. Do Bronx is a human python.
shout out to TS mentioning Paul Craig, that dude probably has the best triangle in UFC history. even though he was largely ineffective in most other areas of the fight.
Jim Miller has a sick guillotine, one of the best.

Pantoja and Sean Brady both have absurd Jiu-Jitsu & in totally different ways, Brady just doesn't have his takedowns on the same level of his ability on the ground.

I know you guys fell asleep during his last bout, and you're still cranky..

But Jailton is okay
Wanted to say JA but, yeah he's too effective with takedowns to do nothing w them, hope he brings the full repertoire next time

I’d like to see Gillian get another sub next Saturday against Lemos. Tough fight, though.

Gillian is good on the ground. Sometimes using GnP instead of a sub.

Honorable mention to Rani Yahya

Very tough and a true 1-trick pony

Ask Damien Maya who he ranks as a UFC great submission artist, and Rani will be in the conversation.

Robertson is tough and mean in that cage !

She is in my top 3 active WMMA fighters.

Kill or be killed ! She will not ride to a victory and if she can’t get it to the ground she will go out on her fucking shield.

Her UFC career is a fun story of constant improvement.

Andre Muniz is pretty good, even submitted Jacare Souza in a fight. Doesn't have much of a chin though and most of his losses are by (T)KO.
I was ALL aboard that train a while back, but like you say, he gets chinned waaay too easily, and can't seem to string enough Ws together. Bummer, because I thought he had a ton of potential.
