That wet blanket has exactly ONE top 10 win. At the time he beat RDA he was not a champ, and was ranked outside the top 5... so no he doesn't have a win over a champion, he has a win over a guy who was top 10 at time and nowhere near being champ yet.

He needs to prove he can beat more than one type of top fighter. His record looks nice by the numbers, but the first 20 guys he beat are irrelevant.

Can't be bothered to tally it up, but I reckon his record in Japan compared to his record in the US, would suggest otherwise.

Look at his record. If it suggests something, it is that the tail end of his record is way worse than that of before it. It just so happens that he's fought mainly in the UFC during that period. BUT his decline started way before that, with losses to Golyaev and Kitaoka in Japan, and all in all looking nothing like his former self after Pride folded - in Japan or in the US.
