Who are some of the worst and the most embarrasing callouts of all time?

I get tha Hendo is a legend and Ill admit I wanted to see the rematch but not many people would agree Hendo deserved it. He wasn’t even ranked and KO’d an old Lombard who just got chased out of the WW division. I think it’s safe to say nobody else would’ve got a TS off a win like that over a fighter on a losing streak. I’d say Romero, who was on a 7 fight win streak and worked his way up the rankings certainly deserved it more.
Not sure if you were on sherdog at that time but people were pretty upset that bisping ducked the entire top 10 when there were much more deserving fighters than old man Hendo.

Im not talking about callouts like when Wandy wanted to fuck Chuck , Im talking about embarrasing call-outs when a fighter calls for a fight which is an easy fight for him and makes 0 sense.
Here are some examples below.

  • Tyron Woodley (Nick Diaz , GSP , Nate Diaz , Conor McGregor etc)
Woodley arguably is the king of embarrasing callouts , During his title reign he was constantly talking about "money fights" and other non-sense fights despite having contenders lined up waiting for him. The examples of him doing that are countless but here are a few examples
  • As soon as he won the title from Robie Lawler while the clear #1 contender at that time was Wonderboy he instead of talking about a possible fight between the two he started talking about two retired fighters in Nick Diaz and GSP.
  • Then after getting a highly controversial draw he was still lobbying for a fight against Nick Diaz at UFC 209 despite a rematch with Wonderboy being clearly what was needed.
  • Tyron Woodley was campaigning for a fight against 19-11 lightweight journeyman Nate Diaz at UFC 219 at the end of 2017 , UFC offered him a fight and it was for UFC 219. The problem? It was against Colby Covington and yeah you guessed it , Tyron didnt accept it.
Proprs to Dana for shutting all this BS talk about BS fights from Woodley though.

  • Henry Cejudo calling out Faber and Garbrandt
Henry Cejudo has always called for tough fights during his career , But i wont forget that embarrasing callout of Cruz(Not that much of an embarrasing callout eevn though Cruz hasnt fought in years) , Faber(Retired then) and Cody Garbrandt(3 fight KO losses). Moraes might have hit him a bit too hard there.

  • Anderson Silva (Fought as far as 205) calls out former 145-er who hasnt won a fight sicne 2016 in Conor McGregor
Not the first time(Campaigning not to fight Weidman) Silva has tried any of this cherrypicking stuff but this is probably the most embarrasing callout of all time.
The former MW champion has been calling out the former 145-er Conor McGregor and basically has begging for that easy fight since 2016
Since Conor could barely even make 185(According to Conor) , SIlva was pushing for a catchweight fight something he should have pushed for another opponent at another time but he didnt really want any of that with the other opponent .
This one doesnt really need much words to describe how embarrasing it was , Great that Dana didnt allow any of this cherry-picking nonsense.

  • Daniel Cormier calling out Brock Lesnar who hasnt won a fight since 2011.
I like DC but he made himself look like such an hypocrite here, He was talking that he doesnt want to face PED cheats anymore which i agree with him but eyt goes on to callout a big PED cheater who hasnt fought a fight since 2011 and basically beg for that fight while putting on a circus with Brock inside the octagon.
UFC and Dana were okay with this bullshit fights , The only problem was that Brock didnt come back and DC was forced to give Stipe his rightful rematch then.

  • Mickey Gall calling out Dan Hardy , CM Punk , Diego Sanchez, Sage Rematch etc
This guy probably edged Woodley in this regard , His callouts are just embarrasing .
Instead of calling for a fight that would move him further in the welterweight rankings he calls out for fights against old veterans (and retired) such as Dan Hardy , Diego Sanchez or easy fights like CM Punk , Sage Rematch etc.
He got whooped in the proccess though since one of his wish to fight and old very past of prime veteran came true , That didnt end well for him.

BONUS: Overeem calling out for a Brock Lesnar rematch(Who he already destroyed) after years of Brock in-activity
Why callout JDS or anyother top heavyweight at that time when you can call-out someone who hasnt fought in 3 years out? Exactly , Reem knows. They should make this fight happen as the co-headliner of Jacare vs Camozzi 3
This one is more funny that it is embarrasing though since it is The Reem and he did it kind of unintenionally.

Conor calling out Mayweather..

The whole point of Mickey Gall being in UFC was to fight CM Punk, not sure why that's in here. The rest is really bad, though, especially Gall's callout of Dan Hardy of all people. That killed his momentum.
It really did.

Gall kind of had a thing going where he was expected to call out his next opponent and the announcers looked forward to it.

Calling out hardy definitely ruined that little gimmick. Anik was legit awkward after hearing that

DC's was the worst because it just further exposed his moral grandstanding and hypocrisy. Guy blabbed and blabbed and blabbed about the integrity of the sport and almost immediately went back on his word for a payday.

Donald Cerrone called out Cole Miller in 2014. It was a massive WTF.
They had some kind of beef going back to the WEC days i think , Cowboy also was dismissive of Cole who was talking a lot of shit.
Cowboy basically told him something like go win some fights and come get this ass whooping

Cybro Justino calling out 125 lber Jessica Eye

Yeah, and she was 1-3 or 1-4 in the UFC at the time, I think. Regardless, it was after she moved up to 135 and started losing on the regular.

Bro you took all the good ones ;)

Every one I thought of you had listed there. My mind is blank now.

Usman calling out Robbie Lawler was weak, and looks even weaker now. It was obvious that Covington deserved the shot, and should have been the favorite to win the fight. Usman should have been calling out Colby, but he seems to want to avoid that fight.

That's certainly not embarrassing to me. I applaud any fighter that can get that sort of payday!
Sure when it comes to payday, but the post wasn't about money. It was about ridiculous callout. To me, that's the most ridiculous callout in history of combat sports.

When you're talking about the worst of anything being said, look no farther than Cejudo.

Dork King of Little Cringeville.
