The UFC has been giving him the short end of the stick basically since he became a contender, the guy does have a legit gripe to be sour about... however Tony’s also guilty of throwing self sabotage into the equation, refusing the Holloway fight, taking the Gaethje under less than optimal conditions, shortly after an unnecessary weight cut, topped off by an 18 week fight camp... WTF? he claims he began camp for Khabib immediately after the New Year... add it all together and here he is still on the outside looking in, the most likely scenario is that he will be offered a fight he shouldn’t take and because he has an undying belief in himself he will take it, you know the saying... 3 strikes and you’re out. It’s so frustrating being a fan of his, partially because the promotion hasn’t done him any favors, but also because IMO his career decision making seems to be piss poor. He’s changed management companies several times and he puts the blame of his career trajectory on everyone else instead of himself.

Tony should definitely try for the BMF belt. It might be too late in his career to beat Masvidal but he could have done it easily a couple of years ago. I want to see it as Tony wants a belt and he is certainly a BMF.

Maybe cut him. He's fought everyone we need to see him against. He can a new life at bellator. I don't think anyone would skip tony vs pitbull.
Alternatively keep him. Make him vs felder. But after that what's next? I actually think he can brutalise bellator lightweights and bring some excitement there. The jog is up. Thw khabib fight is gone. Time to move on. Still the second best of all time at 155.

That in no way shape or form should constitute a real belt, incidentally though if people do want to treat it as any kind of belt, how exactly would Masvidal have held onto this gimmick belt, was Usman not enough of a BMF? Also don't think Tony has a shot against Masvidal any more.
