Yeah the last thing i wanna do is question a fighter, but he doesn't even look like a big MW. Jiri, Hill and Khalil would dwarf him, and they looked undersized vs Pereira lol.No you are not, I have eyes.
I'd watch. I reckon he's a solid top 5 guy at 205If he can make the cut then let him move up.
He’s going to have a few more fights before calling it a career. Why not go after fun fights with little weight cutting? I say go for it.Ah, why not I guess. He'd be visibly undersized but probably a bit more mobile than a few of the top guys in the division and to be honest there's fuck all left for him to at MW. No point in having him knock off future contenders. I'd be behind this move in 2025.
People say LHW sucks (which is true) but both Weidman and Rockhold got absolutely wrecked when they moved up. Cannonier was a mid tier guy at 205 too.Whitaker seems like he's taking the Chris Weidman path
I think Khalil would hurt him. Like real bad.Sure, why not. In terms of skill wise he would fit right in, its not like LHW is particularly dangerous when it come to skilled fighters currently. The only thing he would have a problen with is the size and power difference.
Rashad did okay, because he had the one skillset in the wrestling that he could fall back to or rely heavily on against his opponents, because he excelled in it. Unlike Whitaker who isn't particularly great anywhere but is just very well rounded which given landscape and skillsets of the fighters at 205 he well fit right in, but the size differences in terms of height and reach will be what poses problems for him. He's been teasing this for a while...
Rashad did ok as a small 205'er
But are age and his injuries catching up in him? maybe Whittaker should be taking fun fights from here on? (saying this reluctantly)
