Well, the white supremacists are all ugly, nationally hated, and marginalized. Trumps career has pushed a lot of moderates away from him unless he does something to turn around the direction of his presidency.

This kid murdering that girl and maiming others did more to hurt the Alt Right movement and whatever real grievances you might have had, the pictures of a group of White Supremacists beating a black man with poles has pushed the country against you.

OT: Nazi's do have a right to believe what they want. That right cannot be legislated against, or policed in an effective way. In that way this sort of extremism is similar to something like ISIS. An ideology isn't defeated by force. Any attempt to do so will only foment further hate and I believe ultimately lead to more voilent extremist behaviour.

These sorts of ideas and beliefs need to be destroyed by changing how people think. That's hard in an environment when arguments don't extend much past "ur rong, STFU".

That's a caveat of the 24 hour news cycle, everything, including outrage will have an expiration date (9/11 being an exception) I mean Dylan roof actions were way more egregious in a totality sense and the right still won. These alt right marches happened during the election process on a larger scale and they still won.
