I thought since it was announced that Tate/Rousey 3 is all but official id see what the sherdog consensus is on other terrible matchups:

Hendo/Machida 2
Shogun/Rashad

Huge hendo fan, but do we all agree that he is getting KTFO'd here? And likely Shogun too or Rashad will attempt to LnP him

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on any other recently announced horrible matchmaking by the UFC

Luke Rockhard vs. That's still my boy

good one, i like weidman but i do think he needs a win or 2 before jumping back in there with rockhold. he looked awful in that fight

I have been on sherdog on multiple accounts since 2005, and i still have no idea why prople hate "lay and pray" fighters.

It's wrestling. If you can't stop a takedown, sweep/switch/reverse, or get up..... Learn wrestling.

He should have been matched up with Jacare imo and they should have gave Luke Vitor. Vitor has fans and the fight has history as well.

Also Wonderboy vs. Rory kinda sucks. Rory vs. Woodley and Lawls vs. Wonderboy would have been ideal. He starched Hendricks for fucks sake

I like Shogun vs Rashad. It's a big fight we never got to see and both seem old and diminished enough to be fair now.

Don't like Hendo vs Machida very much. Machida may be past prime but he still hung with Romero until the 3rd, Hendo... is really past past prime.

agreed on both accounts except i think woodley should face maia and rory should rematch condit. rory beat woodley not too long ago and he and condit have improved significantly since their first fight, i think a rematch could be epic

Good stuff. It would make Woodley earn it, shut Maia up about rankings and TSs plus we get a good rematch and or title eliminator. WW is stacked atm lol.

What we don't need is shitty instant rematches for every single change of belt

Ronda haters are super pissed "1 night Holm" got beat by Miesha. It goes against their anti Zuffa conspiracy theory. Super pissed Ronda might (probably) beat miesha.

I said after the Rousey/Holm fight that Ronda would be champ again before that EA game is s year old.

I'm torn here though because I was a Ronda fan but then she imploded after losing...the worst implode ever. I'd like to see Miesha get redemption. Kind of Rousey fan...kind of Tate.

I like Rashad vs Shogun. Who are these two guys supposed to fight if not other aging legends? Plus it's not a bloody rematch.

Shogun vs Rashad don't sound bad. And I'd definitely like to see Rua vs Silva before both guys retire.

But yeah I agree Hendo vs Machida 2 = no beuno, Meisha vs Ronda 3 = no beuno.

Faber vs. Cruz III. Snooze. We all know exactly how this is gonna go.

Faber vs Cruz. This was just unwarranted and unnecessary and Faber definitely didn't earn a title shot from any sort of title eliminator. This is more of just a cash grab rubber match.

Shogun vs Rashad was supposed to happen back when Shogun held the title. Both are in similar positions in their career now. Machida vs Henderson is just sickening match making and Hendo doesn't even have a chin anymore it's most likely going to be a crane kick KO for Lyoto Randy Couture style. Guess they're done with Hendo

Both matchups are "who the f*ck cares" fights. There's tons of name value, but I'm not interested in seeing severely declined legends who have no hopes at being champion go out there and fail to live up to their own standards.
