Holloway is already up there in contention. I think his time will come when Aldo, Edgar and Conor lose a step or move in weightclasses.

I agree man. I really wouldn't be surprised if UFC gave him yet another fight if he wins tomorrow, Conor is holding up the division so much with his attention seeker circus act, I feel like they just gonna wait for him to fight Aldo or Frankie.

max holloway is the obvious answer. he is closest to a title shot at the moment and maybe the best fighter out of that bunch, with oliveira being a close second. I still think his chances are slim as he does have serious holes in game. We'll see if he's improved against lamas, but to me that fight alone is already a toss up.

Brian ortegas overall mma game is pretty bad imo. hes not a great fighter and hes already been caught juicing. i hope guida takes his soul and finds a way to finish him, exhausted late in the 3rd.

Holloway is the most likely in this list although, the division really is very deep, there's a lot of other guys to consider as well.

Maybe Aldo, but the Frankie and Holloway fights aren't compelling. I really like Max, but he's beat nothing but cans and was dominated to the point that McGregor decided to work on his ground game with a busted knee.

Also, both Edgar and Aldo turned down the fight at 196.

Edgar was injured, Aldo didnt want to fight on short notice - that's a bad excuse. Edgar situation is different so i don't blame him for not taking the fight. Max kinda deserves TS after that streak, sure he beat plenty of non-ranked guys which are cut by UFC now, but he has 3 top 10 wins in Swanson, Oliveira and Stephens (that's official, Oliveira thing was fluke though)

McGregor vs. Edgar and McGregor vs. Aldo 2 are interesting fights, Holloway rematch not so interesting, but guy deserved and earned it, sure he was dominated but that was years ago, Max is a different fighter now
