We all know digital music, whether streaming or downloaded, is currently the norm. Among its predecessors, which of these do you still use?

- Gramophone (and Vinyl Record)
- Cassette Deck (and Cassette Tape)
- 8-Track Player (and tape)
- Walkman
- CD Player (and CD)
- Discman
- iPod (and MP3s)

(anything else that I missed out on the list?)

I have an iPod classic, it's right in front of me, still use it on occasion.

I have some CD's, but not much to play them on. Some very old Vinyl laying around upstairs aswell, but I don't have a record player.

I like the idea of having a vast record collection(vinyl) or CD collection. But the amount of money(atleast for vinyl) it'd cost, it's just not a very frugal means of enjoying music.

I remember quite fondly burning off mixed CD's on my computer as a kid, using my walkman, listening to my uncles tapes of Van Halen, Queen etc.

Streaming on my phone, while using my wireless, over the ear Skull Candy headphones has me hooked. Using them to listen to some Gustav Holst as a type.

vinyl
CD
cassette (probably not anymore, because i just got rid of my car that had a tape deck. So as of right now, I have nothing to play them on. Plus, most of them are getting all stretched out/worn out, they don't have much life in them anyway.)

Vinyl and by happenstance. My father knew how much of a music fan I am that he asked if I wanted his vinyl collection which immediately I said yes. It was after that I purchased a record player and begun my journey in the world of vinyl. Besides the obvious in the superior sound quality of LP's you can create true works of art with both the cover and the actual LP itself. I have many an album that has some amazing artwork.

I still buy cassettes vinyl and ds but primarily listen to mp3s or flac on my phone.

if i have wifi, will stream. otherwise, not going to eat up my data so have mp3s on my phone.

Got a record player and still buy vinyl
Got a cassette player and never buy any, still have some lying around, but rarely ever use it to listen to music.
Got a CD player and still listen to CD's occasionally.
I have an Ipod Nano that I sometimes use when going on holiday.

I still use my iPod sometimes. 10K songs on it. Most I don’t have on
My phone or even on CD anymore. So it’s still useful.

I still listen to CDs in my car.

I always like it when you post a photo of what your listening to in the What Are You Listening To threads.

I still listen to vinyl on occasion. About the only cassettes I listen to anymore are old tapes of bands I've been in over the years.

The majority of what I listen to is some form of digital.

I hear ya man. Digital is such a convenient and easy way to listen to music I like. The vast majority of my discography has been ripped and stored on my 2 TB external hard drive. I have a little more than 1.2 TB of music stored with most all of it in FLAC. I decided to try out Spotify and it has the vast majority of the music I listen to. I have a trial version of premium which when it ends in mid march I might pay the 10 bucks a month to use it

i also have a mini disc player and discs around here some place.

Got any pics of the collection?

I'm looking for a new hobby and vinyl always been of interest to me.

Are CDs and vinyl(and tapes) really obsolete, if they sound so much better than digital mediums?
