I used to have the plan with Sprint where I got a new phone delievered as soon as it was released so I had a Pro Max immedietly. T Mobile 86d that so I've had a Pro Max 11 for 5 years or so.

The battery is starting to give out and I've reached my storage limit so while I cling on to tech with all of my being it's time.

I need size wise a big phone because my eyesight's awful, everything else I don't care about.

I always get the largest and most powerful iPhone whenever its time for a change.

I use my phone a ton, for calls, text messages, work email, personal email, browsing, fantasy sports, car play, etc. I think it would be crazy to not spend a few hundred extra bucks for the top of the line iPhone.

I am also looking forward to usb-c despite the fact I probably have 5+ lightning cables.

If you like the phone then consider getting the battery replaced. I know Apple likes you to buy a new phone when the battery dies but that's complete bullshit.

Get a better phone when the one you have is no longer good enough. Not when the battery dies.

I plan to trade in my 13 Pro before or on Black Friday. I like the Pro size as far as handling and pocket carrying, but like you I really need the bigger screen now so I'll likely go 17 Pro Max. Looking at the specs, I think the Air sounded better than what they delivered.
