Which Jones rematch would look the most different...

The Rampage who went to fight Bones looked the most prepared and motivated in years.

I think most would agree but his strategy seemed a bit misguided. He basically stood in front of Jones and let him kicks him all night. I think with a more aggressive apporach he'd fare better.

Granted, if he's more aggressive that could open up more takedowns and he could get finished quicker so who knows.

I can see Machida beating Jones

I had him winning the first round

I don't see Machida beating Jones. Only likely route for him would be to take it to the judges while snagging 3 or more rounds.

To do that he'd have pace himself better than he did in any of his fights thus far and while fighting off constant clinch exchanges and controlling the distance even better than he did in their first fight. All of that w/o making a mistake that Jon can capitalize on.

I can see the argument for Machida taking the first round of their first fight but the fact that he only managed to maintain that momentum and success for so little time just makes his chances in a rematch slimmer.

Machida would have to come with a gameplan executed to near perfection.

I also have a hunch that Jones will prove to be harder to beat in rematches.

Well... I dont think Shogun could do any worse, but Rashad can so Ill say him.

Belfort, he wouldn't get caught with anything. Machida would be the same, Bones would finish him.

Machida is my answer. I feel Machida would beat Jones at least 5/10 times; chances I wouldn't give to any other LHW.

Shogun is the right answer. Now I'm not saying Shogun would win, but I believe he never recovered from the knee he took in the opening round. I think he could damage Bones.

Agree... I'd still pick Jones but I doubt he'll make it look as easy.
