Im heading to Bangkok next week, I'm heading to sitmonchai gym for a month, i will be staying in bangkok for a year of training i was wondering what gym should i go too next as i want to focus on kicking and clinching. The only reason I'm going to sitmonchai first is that it has good reviews, and could potentially stay there if i like it. But I'm really after working on clinching and kicking.

Gyms Ive heard of that are good are

Rachanon Gym, Chuwattana Gym, Saengmorakot Gym, Sasiprapa Gym, Meenayothin Gym, Kiatphontip Gym, Luktupfah Gym

i was thinking of going to Rachanon Gym or Sasiprapa Next (but heard sasiprapa gets busy)

Has anyone been to any of these?

Is the training focused on kicking and clinching?
is the accomodation good?
can you rent a unit near by?
not over populated by tourist?
Do they train farangs well??

Kiatphontip

Is the training focused on kicking and clinching? you get plenty of clinching, training is focussed on what will make you a better fighter, if you want to focus on kicks then that is not a problem.
is the accomodation good? has a mixture of shared fan or single Aircon, all comfortable
can you rent a unit near by? Yes
not over populated by tourist? its in a quieter location on edge of city and training is tough, tends to get more people that are fight orientated than tourists
Do they train farangs well?? yes
Is the person that runs the place charming and handsome? Yes very!

sounds good but sounds like your a Rep for that gym would like to hear from people who have been there thanks anyways!

I was at sitmonchai for 2 months n loved it! Training is good and u get pushed and whilst it is not really a clinch focused gym u can get it. I personally loved the location and limited numbers.

Had a training partner train at kiatphontip and had nothing but good things to say about it, I personally was looking at heading their next but plans changed, it will however be the next gym I train at.

Which did you prefer more sitmonchai or kaitphontip gym? And why

I havent been at kiatphontip but i think you will get better well rounded training there. Love sitmonchai though

what did sitmonchai lack in?

After the first month am i better off changing?

what do sitmonchai mainly work on is it only low kicks?

there style is typically punch and low kick, not to say they don't work on the other stuff, but don't think clinch is quite as pushed on you as some other gyms, depends on what you prefer style wise

yes I rep for the gym, but I don't try and force it down peoples throats like some other gyms and I don't promote it with anything that the gym can't back up or isn't based on reality, apart from the handsome and charming part, because I'm actually an ugly cunt!

there is a shameless plug of one of out young prospects already being tipped as a big name, our fighters styles can differ a little depending on what is their best points, but he is an example of a classic southpaw sharp kicker.

HavE You got pictures of the accommodation please?

Go to Anoraks gym, really good rep, lots of knowledge in the ugly baldness as well

Always wanted to go Kiatphontip. One of the biggest mistakes I've made in Thailand. Heard nothing but good things. Maybe next time.

@anorak next time I'm in bkk (probably end of year) I will come to train for a while.

Any more details? Pricing? Website?

Somebody put a blacklight to one of Rob's rooms. That shit would look like The Milky Way Galaxy. Fuck that shit...

Go bunk with @JayMuaythai at Sitsongpeenong.
