Rose requires a lot of mental support to be in the right mindset. But she is working on it and actually outplayed Joanna who is known for mind games.

While technically true nobody knew at the time that Joanna's personal life was falling apart behind the scenes (parents very ill and her 8 year or so relationship fell apart with her fiance). She kept that pretty close to the chest. No different from when Rose's personal life was falling apart for the KK fight. It took them both around the same amount of time to resolve it (around 6-8 months). Rose and her team had the opportunity to take an additional 8 months off after the fight and come back when she was mentally focused. Joanna came back in the middle of it for the 2nd Rose fight.

Cowboy used to be but honestly doesn't seem all that bothered by it in recent years.

he's talked about how he use to take it personally but now realizes it's part of the game so doesn't let it bother him.
