Which fighter rocks a suit best?

Just curious who that woman is.. for research

Goodness this thread is still around?

That being said, this guy on the left....still manages to look badass.

The alpha is strong in this one

This is now a meme.

Honorable mention to GSP for being an early adopter.

Condit looks great, keeps it basic, no homo.

Sexiyama pulls off some esoteric style with sheer confidence.

McGregor wins the sartorial battle though. Good cut, tie-to-collar ratio (admittedly juicing with bowtie), deft with shoes/accessories, pocket kerchief, pocket watch with chain. If this were Street Fighter, you'd be seeing speed lines and "super combo" in bright letters over his head.

Everyone else has that Men's Warehouse look, inappropriately flared shoulders, wrong collar style, tie too skinny, off-center tie-knot dimple, 6.5/10. Pettis: 3/10 for trying.
You should post more.

these threads, i hate to say, are usually pretty failworthy. ppl will just post their favorite fighter in a suit, whether it looks good or not. and 95% of the time, guy with these guysjust og to the store, buy the most expensive suit, get it tailored, and thats that. not difficult to pull off. tougher to find a fighter who CANT pull off a suit.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on Conor. Example above of a bad cut: shoulders too tight and bunching up, torso a tad too tight (see the "V" ripples around jacket button), arms are too thin and short (see how elbow pads fall above elbows). His knot is too long for the collar due to width of tie. The combo of tie/shirt pattern is a tad busy for my taste, but not horrible. But furthermore, the tie and pocket square patterns are FAR too similar. The damn first rule of pocket squares is that they should complement, not match the tie. Yes, I realize they're slightly different. Which brings me to the last point of my dismantlement, that the color of the jacket, tie, and pocket square are all similar, yet different enough to muddle and torpedo the whole look.

/rant

And I actually like off centered dimples. In the right situation they help give the whole look that little bit of casual imperfection.

Well, that's not the kind of post I expect to read at Sherdog. Just... saying?

I still can't decide who looks worst between Pettis and MacGregor.

The image you chose is one of his worse presentations, I agree with most of what you say, it looks like he borrowed a smaller man's jacket. A solid artistic principle is "If something is not exactly the same, make it different - really different." So, I also agree with the tie and pocket square, although I would say matching is not bad.

However, while your rant is correct when applied to western men's style in general, what you're dismissing is that this debate is relative to MMA. Conor may, at times, make fashion mistakes, but he blows away all the other fighters in competition for sartorial dominance. *insert GOAT joke here*
