When Jon Jones was out wrestling Daniel Cormier, that was pretty fucking crazy.

He won convincingly compared to jones vs reyes/santos and was young af
sure he "won", but sure as hell didnt look invincible, what this thread is about.

people thought ronda was invincible, her odds were off the charts

+800 holly
+700 bethe and so forth

when you're +800, you have no chance according to opinion

khabib's highest his entire career was +550, with iaquinta, who didnt deserve the fight no less.

Determining the "most invincible" UFC competitor in their prime is subjective and can vary depending on the criteria used for evaluation. However, I can provide an overview of the fighters:

  1. Georges St-Pierre (GSP): Renowned for his well-rounded skills and strategic fighting, GSP dominated the welterweight division. He was known for his incredible athleticism, effective striking, and dominant wrestling.
  2. Jon Jones: Often considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists ever, Jones has an impressive record and is known for his unique physical attributes, like his long reach, and his diverse skill set.
  3. Anderson Silva: Silva is celebrated for his striking, particularly his precision and timing. He held the longest title reign in UFC history at 2,457 days and was dominant in the middleweight division.
  4. Ronda Rousey: Rousey was a trailblazer in women's MMA, particularly in the UFC. Known for her judo background and armbar submissions, she had a period of dominance in the women's bantamweight division.
  5. Jose Aldo: Aldo was a dominant featherweight champion known for his powerful leg kicks and striking ability. He had a long reign as the WEC and then UFC Featherweight Champion.
  6. Khabib Nurmagomedov: Khabib is celebrated for his grappling skills and undefeated record in MMA. He was dominant in the lightweight division and known for his ability to control opponents on the ground.
Each of these fighters had a period of dominance in their respective divisions and showcased unique skills and attributes that contributed to their success. The title of "most invincible" would depend on factors like the level of competition they faced, their skill sets, and the length and nature of their dominance. Fans and analysts might have different opinions based on these criteria.

Anderson. He was must see TV during his prime. He was the guy you showed to people who had no real idea what MMA entailed or who it's most lethal and creative standup artist was. He ran through certain opponents like a hot knife through butter despite displaying a casual indifference at times. He may have had a few stinkers but they were mostly derived from his opponents refusing to engage him, and even then he busted them up to a degree.

While other's may have a greater claim to GOAT for innumerable reasons, no one brought the sense of unpredictability that Anderson did. He brutalized Franklin without breaking a sweat, rearranging his face; beat double champ Henderson in under ten minutes after he went life and death with Rampage; put Forrest in the Matrix; front kicked Vitor. Astonishing stuff. Fedor was hurt by Fujita and dumped on his head by Randleman; Georges lost to Serra; Jones won a contentious decision against Gustaffson that many thought he lost; and Khabib's reign was short like Leprechauns. I'm sure many will disagree, but rarely has a fighter put me in awe as consistently as Anderson did back in the day.

This is a good way to see who's new to the sport.

Fedor and Silva are the god honest only legit answers.

Silva finally lost at 38, but if you haven't seen his career do yourself a favor and watch, once this man left that Pride ring, he then became the best cage fighter I've ever seen.

People don't talk about this much, but when Silva was at his peak of PPV popularity he was able to do 1M buys against Weidman, who at the time was just a nice fresh prospect that only consistent viewers even knew much about (he didn't even have 10 fights in his career). EVERYONE wanted to be like this guy in the gym, and guys like Conor came up into the sport watching him and seeing what was really possible in the cage. His excellence and dedication to his craft is something we might not ever see again.

As a huge Silva fan, id be tempted to say Silva. But in honesty id have to give It to Khabib. Matrix Silva was the most "beautiful" moveset Ive ever seen in MMA. But Khebab never had a scratch in his fights.

Edit - as was already said, the difference between Silva and Khabib was Silva, except some stinkers, was usually must see tv. Khabib was invincible but you knew it was prolly some work-man grind.

Uh, that was Vitor Belfort who had no known weaknesses

View attachment 1022017
Washed Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen who grapple fuck him 4.5 rounds, he was such good names on the his winning streak like hendo, franklin x2, griffin, maia, sonnen x2 but if I make skillwise ranking table of his opponents will put.

HIGH LVL - Franklin, Sonnen
MID - Maia, Hendo, Griffin
Okami is a between mid and low.
Low - Other

Maia is a BJJ specialist, Hendo didn't wrestle very well in MMA, Griffin is stylistacly good match for him.

This is not disrespect for Silva, I love him so much. but I can't compare him with Jones, Khabib and Fedor in this way of discussion.

Jones dominated 3 different generations, more big names.

Khabib 2/3 lost rounds in his entire career.

Fedor won a fights on a different ways. He is first high-well rounded HW.
- Mirko Cro Cop, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira x2, Renato Sobral, Mark Coleman, Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski.

Lol at Fedor, he was stunned by Fujita and was threatened with a submission by 12x ADCC champion Mark Hunt. Fedor has shown throughout his fights that he was beatable.

1. Jones
2. GSP
3. Cain
4. Fedor
5. Khabib
6. Usman
7. Aldo
8. Silva
9. DC
10. Volk

Love the breakdown, thanks.

Mighty Mouse not on the list is blasphemy.

Had I think 11 title defenses
Never failed a PED test.
High finish % as champ.
Full set of tools: switch hitter, subs, cardio, iq, speed

Didn't fall off, even as he aged.

Plus he was super dominant 99% of the time as well. The best double leg ever imo

Holy ChatGPT

Jones/AS/Demetrious.
WMMA: Ronda and Cris Cyborg.

Jones.

MM was dominant but he wasn't right away. MM is Charles if Charles turned into Khabib a few fights into his title reign. Jones was the chosen one from the very beginning.

Not a fan of Jones but my vote goes to him. Chael made Anderson look like a bum 98℅ of the time in their first fight. Aldo and Fedor had competitive fights against lesser competition. Goatson Tibau beat Khabib.

Jones, 28-0 and went on a 15+ title fight win streak. the 1 DQ thing is ridiculous. Not to mention the names on his resume, he beat so many great fighters and no one could even drop him or rock him, let alone knock him out. incredible

Andersons wins were far more spectacular, hes defintely the number 1 here. The other guys clearly looked beatable when they were out of their element.
