Which fighter has had the worst luck with judges?

He stood there to prove a point, that Izzy wasn't gonna do shit...and he didn't.
Poor decision on Yoels part tbh, but Izzy didn't do anything at all.

Yoel has had harder training sessions than that.
Izzy won, that's what he did, Yoel stood there in fear.

Jacare Souza.
Could've earned a title shot if he got the correct decisions vs Romero.
Got robbed by KG in a fight that came down to the 3rd.

If Jacare got the correct nods he could've been 11-1 in the UFC with his only clear loss being Whittaker before he fell out of his prime and got his name firmly in the all time MW GOATs discussion.... as it stands Mousasi gets more love.
That Jacare vs Whittaker fight was madness sir.

My pick is Yoel Romero. His UFC career could have looked very different. He lost decisions to Whittaker, then costa, then Izzy to finish his ufc run, and all of those losses could have easily been scored for him, with Whittaker and Izzy fights being egregious and costa fight less so.

Other Names that spring to mind are

Petr Yan - two fights that could have gone either way were scored against him. Has bad luck in coin toss decisions. Also that DQ, though not the judges specifically.

masvidal - has a record number of SD losses I think.

Angela hill - has had a lot of SD losses too I think

Masvidal, probably. He didn't help himself much, because early on he tended to coast in fights he was winning. Angela Hill has lost 4 SDs and won 1. What makes her stand out is the she had two SD losses back to back and then another within a year or so.

Benson Henderson also had two SD losses back to back, but he's won something like 20 of them. (OK, more like 5 or 6.)

Izzy won, that's what he did, Yoel stood there in fear.

Izzy won a point fighting match, and there was zero fear in Yoel, anyone with eyes could see that.
You must be young to continue this argument.

Jacare vs Romero was no robbery. Romero beat him half to death in the first, neither did anything in the second, and Jacare won the third.

lol Anyone with a brain knows that Yoel put on that pathetic display because he was afraid to go after Izzy, you can say that Izzy was afraid to go after Yoel too if you want, but it was very clear Yoel was not himself and decided to blow his last shot at winning UFC Gold "to prove a point" lol he was scared to fight Izzy, that was clear. He'd rather try and make a mockery than actually go and try to win the fight, that's because he knew he would get picked apart if he came forward, and Izzy just let that game plan shoot himself in the foot. No doubt Yoel was dangerous, but that was the most pathetic attempt at winning a title I've ever seen.

Most MMA media outlets scored it for Jacare.
I remember Jacare getting hurt in the 1st by a spinning backfist but hanging on enough to not eat too much damage.
2nd round was close and like you said could've went either way but most media seems to score it for Jacare.
3rd round Jacare laid a pretty punishing round of ground and pound too against a gassed Romero

I'm biased but only 2 people on MMA decisions seemed to give round 2 to Romero

The only thing Yoel proved is that he's afraid of Izzy, and he absolutely embarrassed himself.
<36>
Yeah he looked terrified.

Romero Shook AF!

Masvidal lost quite a few by decisions before finally changing to a more aggressive style. It's served him well. At that time, many fighters were getting chopped for 3 consecutive losses that might've lit a fire under his has too.

Smilin Sam Alvey got robbed a few times.

Yeah, most fans scored it for Jacare as well, but this is one of those cases where people seem to forget how very close that fight was. The stats show that Jacare outstruck Romero 7 to 6 in the 2nd. Jacare was recovering, and Romero was gassed. I think it's totally fine to give that round to Jacare, but by no means necessary.
