Which fighter beat the most UFC Champions?

It’s funny when thinkin about this. And then you have Conor. Who everyone jizzes over. And he only has 3 Top 5 wins lol

Off the top of my head GSP beat at leaWst 6. Hughes X2, Penn X2, Serra, Condit, Hendricks, and Bisping.
Hehe, GSP losing to Serra being on that list is an example of why it's a silly stat. Bonus points for losing the title so you can reclaim it again - doesn't make sense.

Speaking of that - I think most fans would've been more impressed with Mighty Mouse if he just lost the title a few times and won it back, cause then he would've defeated more former champs.

Speaking of that - I honestly think guys like Mighty Mouse would get more respect if they lost th

But by this list his resume is more impressive, cause we'd include Holloway and say he's beaten 3 champs.

In what universe is 3 more than 8 (GSP)?

Can we narrow down the numbers a bit? Remove guys that were only interim champs and guys that didn't defend the belt. Would be interesting to see that.

Machida has beaten 6 UFC champs and 3 other major org champs:

Franklin
Penn
Tito
Rashad
Shogun
Randy

Hendo - Pride/Strikeforce champ
Mousasi - Strikeforce/Dream champ
Bader - Bellator champ

But he was still good, not wore out, so there's that.

Oh, I agree he was still good. Hell, Arlovski and Silvia were not long off being UFC champs. Really, during his run Fedor basically beat everybody who mattered.

Hendo has beaten 7:

Newton
Big Nog
Bustamante
Vitor
Franklin
Bisping
Shogun

as well as the 2 PRIDE champs Fedor and Wanderlei

Damnit. Every time Hendo's resume or parts of it gets posted it still manages to amaze me. One of the greatest rogues galleries the sport has seen.

Fedor has beaten the following ex UFC champions:

Rampage Jackson
Frank Mir
Andrei Arlovski
Tim Sylvia
Mark Coleman
Kevin Randleman
Big Nog

Except Randy, Carwin, Cain, JDS, Lesnar, Overeem, and Barnett.

That's 7 - more than he beat.

Always wanted to see him face Igor and Sergei too. Those would've been great matches.

Randy tried to fight him, but a lawsuit prevented that. Cain and JDS were long after his time (peak, so was Carwin. He tried to fight Barnett, who pissed that fight away and entered a tournament with Overeem in it. It was not as if he was ducking them.

I have no idea how Prime Fedor would have done against prime Cain or JDS, but it can be fun to speculate. Lesnar, well, sorry, I have trouble taking him seriously. Perhaps that is just me. (I consider Fedor's run ending after he stupidly dived into Werdum's guard).

I also would have liked to see him face Igor and Sergei.

Its more impressive if you beat your opponents as a champ and they never get to be the champs as long as you're around :D

Khabib, GSP, Silva, Jones

He was in the same orgs as Barnett and Overeem way too long to have not fought them. I'm not big on Lesnar either, still seems a joke to me, but he was on top during Fedor's run.

Bottom line, Fedor needed to go to the UFC. He fought cans and previous champs instead.
