Which fight was the biggest scam? Poll thread please

Mayweather/McGregor, followed very closely by Randy/Toney, but you're right in having Mcg/mayweather at the top of the list for monetary reasons. I cant believe how many fucking retards thought that would be a fight.

Couture/Toney

Mayweather/MacGregor

Liddell/Ortiz 3

Tyson/Jones Jr.

Likely have to go with MacGregor fight for monetary reasons

tyson/jones isn't a fight...it's an exhibition...that i will absolutely not pay for.

Couture vs. Toney and Mayweather vs. McGregor because neither fight should have even been sanctioned in the first place.

Anybody that thinks Conor was "holding his own" against Floyd is fooling themselves.

but fuck it.
JUST BLEED.
Couture vs Toney was very necessary imo.
ended the boxing vs MMA bs.
Mercer was dominated by Kimbo before the timmeh ko, and before that had a really bad run in kickboxing.

True, it was ridiculous people actually thought Cowboy had a chance. Bums like Chael Sonnen actually said that was his prediction.
LOL

sad for you that Conor eviscerated him? lololol

Suck it up cry baby. Conor is just that good.
Tony, Mas, Nate, Pettis, RDA, Till, Lawler, Gaethje, Leon Scott - every relevant name out there having a win over Cowboy just didn't make it a very exciting fight or a telling accomplishment of where Conor's at these days.

Add to it the context of it being an intimidated, limping, too prideful to wrestle version of Cowboy in his 5th fight in 12 months after 2 back to back stoppage losses... I still cringe even when scroll by gifs of that garbage.

On the flipside, I think the Floyd fight was fine. If anything, the boxing world should be embarrassed. Conor had no business doing as well as he did and all those gobshites saying Floyd carried it -

- carry this and go fuck yourselves. Conor should've been stopped within one round, much less winning anything. Fact that the judges were shitting their pants and already fucking with the score cards just cemented for me how goofy of a sport boxing is. It's good in movies - I could've watched a 100 of those Rocky flicks - but in real life, it's one of the most boring sports to watch.

I'm only salty Conor wasted his talents and time on that world, instead of giving us more iconic MMA entertainment when he was at his best. But as an event, it was fine. Dude actually made people dream bigger by finally getting a cross over like this done.

Probably Tyson/Jones Jr. It’s against the rules to KO and if one of them gets cut the fight is over. Not even a real fight since Tyson was known for his KO power. You can make this thread a poll yourself btw
Wouldn’t that make it the least scammy freak show fight that they aren’t billing it as anything other than that?
Couture Toney takes the cake for me

Liddell Ortiz 3 by a mile.

Couture vs Toney was a spectacle and everyone knew it. Same with Mayweather vs Conor

Tyson vs Jones jr is def a spectacle as well, considering they are old men, but, at least they're both old so if they both don't look that great, well, at least they're both old men.

Chuck vs Tito 3 was just tragic. I give Chuck props for wanting to go out and take that fight and all that but, that was a fight where 1 guy looked like a fighter and the other guy looked like an old man who just had a few too many PBR's and wanted to get into a fight.

Pacquiao/Mayweather took place when both were out of their fighting primes and cost $90. Easily one of the biggest scams in my opinion.

The fight itself was not all that great, and while there were some good moments on the undercard (Lomachenko was on the card), it did not justify a $90 price tag.

Wow a single moment that Conor did well in. Out of 10 rounds. Truly that is incredible.

McGregor Vs cowboy. All this hype, king is back, Conor 2.0, sober Conor seems like he got over khabib, new wiser more positive etc.

Fight ends in 40s and Conor back to whisky and coke 3 days later

None of them were scams. As for tonights Tyson-fight. It clearly says on the tin, that it will be a glorified sparring-session and as long as that is made clear, you are not being scammed, you are just buying an inferior, but in its own way intriguing, product.

Tyson vs Jones jr as they aren't even allowed to go hard or even try and hurt each other. The fight will be stopped if they start fighting hard. It's literally in the rules also no winner will be awarded

Toney vs Couture for me, that wasn't competitive at all. But I understand why, they had to protect the UFC brand and take out the boxer right away so there was no need to match him up with someone that was going to stand with him. This was the first real mma vs boxing match up on the big stage with big name fighters.

Mayweather and tekishi seemed like a proper rigged fight as well.. Floyd could of easily handled Conor within the first two rounds and ended it.. Just by speed and volume alone.. An alcoholic like Conor has zero chance against an athlete that took his career very, very seriously. I wanna see floyd back in a real fight not these rigged ones he's been doing on the rear end of his career.. At least Mike Tyson is facing an absoutle legend tonight where everyone is counting out Roy Jones, but hell if he's moving around the ring again like the old days, and them clips was just to fool the public then its gunna be a good one.. Roy needs a ko, cause the judges are clearly being paid for Tyson and the boxing commission must of said "Mike must win" just like all the other shady shit they been doing I've noticed.

Biggest scam ever was Silva vs Maia in terms of what people got to see compared to huge expectations, Couture vs Toney, Mcgregor vs Floyd and Ortiz vs Chuck all ended in finishes at least and Tyson vs Jones probably will also
