Just wondering sherbros, if you guys have noticed similarities between bodies of great MMA fighters, and if you think that's why they are succesful.

Ill start by analyzing

One thing I have noticed is that Wide Shoulders, Back, Traps matter in MMA

Legs don't matter at all....Fedor, Jon Jones, etc dont have really thick legs...Fedor has normal legs, nothing special.

Calfs specially don't matter in fighting...inb4 all the dudebro leg day kids come in.

Arm Length matters as well.

Biceps, dont really matter....triceps don't matter.....Not sure if delts matter.

Not sure if chest matters, but Fedor is barrel chested and he is the GOAT.

Low body percentage doesn't really matter, the higher you go in weight IMO.

Leg asthetics dont matter at all but I feel like leg strength and conditioning is incrediblely important to be a successful fighter. Jon’s legs are skinny but he is probably much stronger nger in that area than you realize.

Any body type can be an elite fighter as long as they have elite skills, elite athleticism, and intelligently work to the advantages of their frame

I'm gonna go with Stomache...

He was like 230lbs and he was deadlifting like what 600lbs?....He is 6'4 and has long fucking arms...He is made for the deadlift....and he did a sumo deadlift at that.

Not really impressed by his numbers...considering he's an athlete and was on PEDs......Leg strength doesn't really matter IMO, I mean you shouldn't be weak as shit but overall it doesn't matter.

Most important are definitely biceps and chest, and sometimes triceps, but it depends

The most important body part for success in MMA media is a large nose.

So having strong and conditioned legs wont help you stop a takedown or finish a takedown? But somehow traps matter more in mma?

Im just saying strong legs, lifting wise like Higher lbs Squats/Deadlifts don't matter at all.

I highly doubt ben askren, gsp, etc can lift that much in squats/deadlifts.

Any powerlifter can come to MMA, and they will feel weak as fuck even tho they are strong in weight lifting.

I wasnt saying strong as in lifting heavy weights, im saying strong and conditioned in the ranges of motion and actions used in mma. Being strong in that sense doesnt hurt either.

Beach abs are not as important as having a strong core even if its not shreded
