James Gandolfini was Tony Soprano. Nuff said.

Tom Cruise for consistently trying to kill himself for the sake of his movies and our entertainment.
Collateral and Last Samurai alone hang with TWBB or DDL as Bill the Butcher.
Oldman is cool, he and Bale are both true chameleons, no question

Ledger as the Joker was magic.

Everyone else, in no particular order lol

river phoenix for most pretty boy who plays moody characters. damn i loved him.

Gary Oldman was my number one of all time as well. Great pick dude!

God Tier:
Aljermain Sterling. Dude literally played unconsciousness being fully consciousness.
Elliot Page. A man has portrayed a woman for more than 20 years. No one knew about it until the last moment.
Adam Sandler. I legit thought he was retarded, I couldnt imagine there is a human who can portray 30.y.o. mentally ill degenerate in propeller hat this good.

Elite Tier:
Arnold Schwarzenegger. A man played a robot who was a man who is a robot. GOAT former soldier/mercenary roles.
Sylvester Stallone. A man played boxer who isnt a boxer when in reality he is a bad boxer.
Rocco Siffredi. Truly a hard working man, not a wide-range actor, but in his niche he is the best. Most underrated male performer in movie history.
Dwayne Johnson. He is so good he transcends from one movie to another without switching the same single role. Almost doesnt change his outfits.

High Tier:
Morgan Freeman. Best explanations during movies behind the scene.
Steven Seagal. Truly a master of any combat techniques, was able not to hurt anyone during any of his shots.
Ken Watanabe. When you need a japanese guy there is only one which comes to mind.

Everyone listed but PSH could be argued as greatest ever. PSH wasnt a lead hard to call him goat as a mostly co atar.

I'm with Hitchcock and believe actors are mostly just cattle. If I had to pick go with golden era guys like James Cagney, Gary Cooper, Robert Mitchum, Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Gregory Peck, or Glenn Ford.

Ed Norton is a good fucking actor. Two of my favorite movies are Fight Club and American History X...dude played roles were total opposites.

Also love actors that break from their comedy typecast to a true evil villian. Steve Carrell and Robin Williams

My favs:
DDL
Bale
Ed Norton
Bobby De Niro

Overrated:
Oldman (ya, I said it)
Streep (she seems pretentious)

Walton Goggins is elite; as is Mark Rylance

Also I use to think Denzel was overrated until someone made the argument that films isn't really an actors medium, it's a directors. If you want to see how good an actor is, you have to see them on stage. Denzel is a great actor

He's good, but... i dont love him. He's best when paired off with someone I like more, like in Red Dragon or Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
