I will start by saying I am not a fan of Ronda and watching Holly beat her up as she did will always be my favorite upset highlight reel ever. If you dont care about her at all, then simply leave this thread.
Now Ronda has not closed the door to MMA, her words, not mine. She also has said she is going to leave her UFC career in the past but that again doesnt mean she is "retiring". I feel she will go on this WWE journey just as Brock Lesnar did. I personally feel she wont be as successful in WWE long term as Brock. At first she may be. Eventually her tenure will get stale just as Brocks does and even he has to bounce back every now and then to stay relevant between UFC and WWE. Since her lack of skills in the entertainment industry are obviously lacking but over time she will pick up some things as they all do. I am aware she is still green in that profession but unlike Brock Lesnar she is basically learning on the job.
Competition is in every athletes blood you cant deny that with enough people feeding your ego especially ones with large egos they start to feel like they can make a come back, all you need is a few important people in your life telling you that you can do it while you are in a good place.. Ronda has a life now, some direction, a purpose. As before by losing in the UFC she was so devastating and was clearly "the end of the world" for her.
She will always be an Olympic bronze medalist, talented Judoka cant deny it. and money DOES talk. Once she becomes mainstream in WWE I HAVE NO DOUBT in my mind we will see her once again fight in the UFC. Permanently? No....but a cross over for a one off fight just like Brock Lesnar did WHILE under contract with WWE, I see it. Will Ronda be fighting top tier UFC fighters? Absolutely not. I can see her being a UFC attraction at a UFC event say UFC 300, all you need is her to fight someone that maybe wants to avenge a loss to her, such as Sarah McMahon, Bethe Correia, or even another good wrestler or BJJ fighter. I feel she can still win fights just not against top strikers. EVEN Ronda Rousey vs Holly Holm 2 would be great. Ronda could beat her IMO with a better game plan. She knows the first plan was horrible. If she trains with a great wrestler for a while and learns decent single and double legs which Ronda can get it to the ground, after all Tate could once she got ahold of her.
Let me know what you all think, do you see (down the road years from now) Ronda stepping in the UFC octagon if its only one more time. Of course while under contract with WWE, Brock was allowed to, why couldnt she? No doubt in my mind she wants that Holly fight back. Like I said...I think with a better approach (AND CAMP) she could do it.
Thoughts?
