Gaethje has had too many blows to the head. He is already permanently brain damaged and should retire.

Fun to watch guys beat each other in the head but he has been in too many crazy fights where he has gotten rocked multiple times.

He has no legit claim more than Conor to fight for the title, they both have the same chance of winning, a punchers chance.

Sounds reasonable. The only problem is I’ve known one actual Conor fan in my lifetime. And sadly he died shortly after Conor beat Aldo. He was probably the biggest reason I got into the sport. Not Conor, but my dear friend. I’m glad he didn’t stick around to see what Conor has become. As a first generation American with Irish parents. I’m sure he would be disgusted with Conor’s career and “achievements” since he won that fight.

Hopefully Conor realizes he needs a tuneup and doesn't even want it. He is no way prepared to face Do Bronx or anybody this good. He needs to face somebody like Clay Guida to get back to form. I'm not sure he beats Guida at this point.

My money if I had any would certainly be on Guida. He’s beaten so many higher level fighters. That I think he would just wrestle fuck Conor. There is no comparison when it comes to cardio. And Guida wouldn’t wilt from a single left hand punch from Conor. He’d eat it and march forward to do his thing.

Charles already defended against the number 1 contender. So that can never be taken away from him. He is the legitimate undisputed UFC LW champion. I got nothing bad to say about Oliveira.

Tell me why Justin deserves a shot more than Islam or Dariush. Neither Conor nor JG has earned the fight but at least a fight with Conor will make Charles money. I don't see Islam or Dariush crying muh title shot.

I won’t say that, but I believe it’s lame to list the lower ranked fighter first. This is circumstantial evidence you have an agenda.

At the end of the day. If they skip over Justin. They will then be in the position of having the winner of Dariush/Islam as actually being the next rightful guy in line.

This is a slippery slope. And either Justin, Dariush, or Islam is going to get fucked by this. And if Conor actually wins does a single person believes for a second he will defend the belt? He would immediately look for a boxing match, or fun fights at 170. Whatever excuse he can use to not actually put HIS belt on the line.

It's really disappointing watching Oliveira trying to throw away his credibility and integrity as a legitimate champion to chase circus fights so quickly. Charles pretending Gaethje doesn't deserve the title shot because of a loss to Poirier a million years ago--while trying to fight a guy who just lost to Poirier twice in a row--is some saaaaaaaad shit.

Even Dana White isn't claiming Justin doesn't deserve the fight, even though he's staying ambiguous over whether he'd give Conor the shot anyway for the money. He still admits Gaethje deserves it.
