Where were you when GSP got headkicked?

In the audience. Place went quiet like a dime for a split second and then everybody roared to their feet trying to see what would happen next.

When GSP got back to his feet it surpassed his entrance as the loudest thing I'd ever heard... and was then surpassed seconds later as he took Condit back down and went right back to work.

I swear I thought the building was going to come down it was shaking so much. Amazing night.

Sadly, it connected to his temple and not chin

ya even worse though. because being hit on the temple is exactly what serra did. which rocked gsp's equilibrium making you off balance and not being able to regain composure, sorta like being drunk and not having your balance.

my guess is is the kick didn't rock his equilibrium like the serra fight as he was able to come back and regain control of the fight, but I believe just being hit on the temple is a sensitive spot for most all fighters....I honestly thought he was going to lose and condit was going to get the finish, I was pretty much shittin my pants saying "noooooooo get back up gsp" lol.

I always found that after his first acl injury he just never really seemed to get back to top form, he always seemed to be a step behind and obviously with age got worse, I found his last few fights displayed that the most...still dominant just not as sharp like before.

Getting hit in the ear, or behind the ear, is what knocks your equilibrium offline, not getting hit in the temple. Temple is typically a knockout.

I was in Thailand. I immediately thought it was a glancing shot and that GSP was just off balance. And I made the mistake of saying it out loud to people. Then that giant knot formed on his head and I was like, "never mind, forget what I just said."

You aren't alone, sir. I also thought it was a grazing shot as he was moving backwards until I saw the replays.

GSP has an extremely underrated chin.

he ate everything Hendricks had and wasn’t dropped by him even once. Punches that knocked out so many other fighters Georges ate

That was INSANE the way he ducked down to disguise the kick!!

I thought he was done when he went down.

What were you thinking when he fell
Oh, no. He is going to tap to strikes again.

I was violently hungover. A mate and I got a cab home from a randoms house and got a ridiculous amount of KFC. Got home ordered the PPV and passed out on the couch. Woke up just before the Hendricks v Kampmann walkouts and it was wild. I remember getting excited by that knockout but also not being able to do too much.

Decided to try to drink more and opened a new drink and nursed it through (it wasn’t going down too well) the lead up to the main event and about 30 left of r2. Quickly got got fresh ones in between rds. We were saying that it felt like something was going to happen. As that kick landed we both threw our hands up spilling our drinks. It was such an adrenaline rush we both instantly recovered.......until about 30 mins after the fight finished. I remember Carlos throwing a wheel kick just before and I was thinking “oh he’s getting desperate now” and not in a good way but a doing dumb shit. Then that combo seemed slow motion haha. Was like “what are you doin OH SHIT!”

At the bar. I leaped out of my seat and the security brah told me to simmer down.

GSP showed his heart that night also coming back from the ACL. Wasn't a close fight in the long run but Condit made it entertaining and gave Georges a challenge.

Was rooting for Carlos Condit and I jumped up thinking we were going to see an upset.
GSP recovered and adapted nicely though.
