Compare that to Charles giving up his belt and win streak and legacy instantly when Islam applied an arm triangle.. you’re not going to die or suffer a serious injury from a choke so you should be fighting till your last breath.

I tend to agree and I have let myself be choked out far too many times in training honestly and it's not because I'm tough but it's because I try everything to get out and usually get slept in doing so.

It's scary as hell in the ring and I can only imagine that being locked in a choke has people tapping from panicking more so than being close to out.

The ultimate pet peeve for me is the hoover hand. Where a fighter just floats their hand ready to tap... like why even wait if that's the thought?
