Not at all, but by your brief summary of Merab as if he's merely some "wall and stall" fighter or that somehow his achievements are easily obtained, it's pretty obvious that you're little more than a casual, and not particularly observant.

So yes then

Merab is obviously very skilled. My dislike comes from how he chooses to approach fighting.

It’s a trade off he chooses to make as far as his entertainment value and his appeal to fans. He fights ultra risk averse and boring to increase his chances of victory

Has to rank high because Yan seemed like a guy who was past his mental peak and couldn't overcome these types of grinders with endless gas tanks and TD's. Not to mention that he had already lost to Merab in that fashion before, and this was a fight for the title with all the extra pressure. And then also he even got the better of the grappling sometimes.

It is one of the highest level displays of "mixed martial arts" I've seen in a long time.

The only one that comes close IIRC is Yan v Sandhagen
