In light of the current crisis in Gaza and Jerusalem before that, which of the following is closest to your stance on Israel?

1. Israel needs to cease to exist. 1967 and 1948 Israel are all illegitimate and needs to be dismantled and it is not a real country.

2. I can begrudgingly acknowledge Israel's right to exist but I agree with every stance of BDS beyond that.

3. I can support Israel's right to exist and protect its citizens in some capacity but I think Israel is overwhelmingly to blame for ME problems.

4. I support the plight of Israels and Palestinians and feel both sides need to vastly improve their conduct and policies towards the other.

5. I think Israel is justified in the majority of situations and consider myself a thorough supporter of Israel and believe it is doing most things right in terms of trying to maintain peace.

6. I stand with Israel all the way, basically the post WW2 Zionist stance.

7. My stance is too different to be classified in 1-6.

3 (though no country has a RIGHT to exist, and they should get out of the occupied territories)

I support Israel. You should too. It's the only stable country in the middle east.

Lol at all the attempt to make the War Room seem moderate on this subject.

I would say around 1.5 based on the shit I see posted in here frequently.

My problem with Israel, is the Israeli lobby in the US.

Of the countries created post WW2 it's a fair way down my shit list , so put me down as a 4 .

4.5 they’re an important ally.

But I wish we weren’t shipping them so much of our money.

I think some activists in general feel more incensed because of the way in which, for example, they see anti BDS laws and feel that America is being fascist and anti 1st Amendment in having them which maybe for some of them brings their view from a 4 or so down to a 1 out of anger.

Between 3 and 4.

Something so simple to resolve that will never find a solution simply because people are too unreasonable and that is a great fuel for politicians to use in their favor. It will only get better if some absurd tragedy happens a few deaths now and then has just been accepted as normality.

BDS is not against Israel's right to exist, not even close.

My stance isn't in the OP.

My stance is let Israel do what it wants. I support western isolationism, we should keep our noses out of the Middle East and stop trying to "police" the world. We don't get any thanks for it and we usually end up making shit worse.

That applies to Israel, too. Cut aid and let them do their own thing.

there are 126891289641289641280 israel threads a day. pick one.
they should have been created elsewhere, but that's over. the middle east sucked before and after israel. all israel does is highlight that it's culture holding back the middle east. so they're a good country that does some bad shit, but the bad shit they do is far less crappy than their enemy. so it's like an arsonist living next to a murderer. which one should get the focus? yet somehow we keep looking at the arsonist

4, and I'd support all Canadian Jews emigrate to Israel. They have never and will never integrate into Canadian society, never put Canada, our laws and norms, above thier love for Israel. .

I think that most of them are integrated, but the bold part applies to most 2nd generation people in Canada as well. Nobody gives a shit about Canada in Canada.

Well, #4, if we're approaching it as a matter of pure theory and idealism, but as a matter of reality and practical politics, where we often have to make unclean choices, over the course of my life, I've veered into #5, and am headed towards #6.

Essentially, my faith in the possibility of a two-state solution has evaporated, and if forced to choose, I choose Zion.

Ironic how you make the identical argument concerning Jews in Canada that Israel makes about Palestinians/Muslims in Israel, and yet you judge Israel so harshly for doing as you say; doing as you would do.

Well is Canada a postnational state?
