Where do *YOU* think *OTHER* War Room regulars sit on the U.S political spectrum?

How would you position it?

Socially conservative.

Far right positions would be characterizing refugees and immigrants as invaders and economic policy that favors keeping the rich rich and making them richer.

This piqued my interest. Can someone elaborate, please?
It's classic Jack: his interpretation of Anung's opposition to using robbed money to take poor folks to enjoy movies is that Anung or Jesus wouldn't let poor people go to movies.

As usual, not a smidgen of what he said is true.

IIRC Atheist was a far left social anarchist when he first joined sherdog.

That's what I remembered when I first started seeing him hear. I even remember him making a thread in support about the how posters in the heavies should get dubbed or banned for misogynistic posts about WMMA.

Now I don't know if he changed views or his older posts were tongue in cheek.

I grew up dirt poor, so it's hard for me to be objective in those conversations. Seems more like a personal feud than an ideological battle.

He's just pushing standard right-wing garbage in that thread. That's one issue where it just seems obvious that one position is cruel and has no justification other than contempt for the poor (the "think of the children" bullshit is belied by the facts that no one supports restricting how market income can be spent and that it makes no difference to the kids if their parents blow money from transfer income or market income).

For such a shitty human being to compare himself to Jesus is just mind-blowing. Even I wouldn't compare myself to Jesus.

So did I. Still am relatively poor according to the standards of my country. Still can't defend robbing others so that I could have more money. Especially on shit I don't need.

Probably both.

I only skimmed the thread, so I can't comment on his position.

Or his current posts could be tongue in cheek. Or something in between. It's a mistake to think that his posts are driven by positions on issues or anything like that.

Holy shit.

Yeah, man, if Jesus were alive today, he'd totally be online posting about how poor kids shouldn't be allowed to go to the movies (that's in the Bible somewhere, right?) and lying about/stalking people who dare to question his beliefs. If there's one thing we know about Jesus, it's that he absolutely hated poor people. Just couldn't stand them, and the thought of them enjoying themselves at taxpayer expense particularly burned him up. Matthew 25:34 "Why should *my* tax dollars go to those lazy mooching kids enjoying themselves?"

You're adorable when your rustled, especially when you throw lies and strawmen into your argument.

Did you read the whole post of just spaz out over that tidbit? Rhetorical question, we can all see you spazzed out.

I don't recall anything in the bible about movies. And I know had I never said poor people should be banned from going to movies.

So you are saying I hate poor people now? You tried to deny it when I called you out on it before. If you think it's wrong to mischaracterize somebodies positions, well he who is without sin should cast the first stone. And stalking? Lol. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. You sir should do some reflection on your lies about yourself and others. You can start with your sleazy post I'm addressing right now.

So how do you think Jesus, or just a regular human being with a conscience, would feel about starving 500,000 children to death? Drone striking families to death? I'm pretty sure he wouldn't change his position based on what party was in office like you have..
But movies are what's important in life, not nutrition or education or healthcare, arms and legs, or actual life. You feel the goverment's ultimate tyranny is not letting mothers use their Goverment assistance to pay for tattoos and casinos.

Bravo Hack. Bravo.

Read the thread.

Kansas, which is a nightmare of a state, tried or enacted a bill that wouldn't allow their assistance money to be used for tattooed, casinos, movies, and pools.

I said that banning pool access for children was both petty and counterproductive, but that casinos and tattoos are wasteful and that I know people who aren't on assistance who can't afford to take their families to movies so that is a luxury.

Jack, a guy who rationalized Bill Clinton's sanctions that caused the death of 500,000 children as "what if Iraq attacked?" Thinks that TANF Is tyranny.

Dude. We have very similar backgrounds (probably why you're one of my favorite posters), the only difference is I lost most of my faith (Catholic) - even though at one point I considered being a priest. I still see my actions in life in-line with JC. I agree with everything you said.

Before I get anymore misinterpretation of my faith or how I conduct my life, I'm not some guy who pauses to think WWJD? I just find that my moral compass has been fixed and I help people on a daily basis. I'm not comparing myself to JC.

Casinos and tattoos does seem wasteful, but entertainment seems fine to me.

If you reject Jesus as God, I don't see why you can't compare yourself to him. You're not claiming he was perfect are you?

Entertainment is a big term and there are more cost effective ways than the movies to experience it. And it wasn't my idea, it was a position that I saw and thought it made sense on a certain level.

I don't reject JC as God, my faith is just not there anymore.

You're saying the LP's social stances are practically Republican?

No, but the immigration and police brutality/law enforcement are. And I think those are huge because it's the oppressive state being coercive and outright violent towards citizens.

Immigration is straight GOP. Police brutality is given some lip service during presidential election season but it's just that. I guess there's too many coloreds involved with that issue so it's not THAT important.
