Yea I've usually seen the spectrum as a square with authoritarian and Libertarian added as well. I think most posters in here generally just see it as left and right though

Also, I'm not sure if I've really encountered many real libertarians on here

That square is bullshit, though, as right-wing libertarians are very authoritarian. The spectrum doesn't tell you every nuance of someone's beliefs, but it is useful. The square really isn't.

I'd definitely put Greoric in the libertarian box. He seems just as suspicious of conservatives as liberals. Whenever a right-wing circle jerk breaks out, he's quick to remind the participants that their side commits the sin of compulsion just as much as the other does.

In what sense is he authoritarian? I've only ever seen him long for the day when there will be no, or as little, government as possible. Strong centralized government and limited political freedoms? Not that I've seen.

Though i think there is more complexity to social issues then that square gives off, it still breaks it down in a simple way. You are either for government inference on economic and social issues or not. A libertarian wouldn't be for interference in the sense they wouldn't prevent people from doing what they want. An authoritarian would.

I just haven't noticed anyone who's hands off on social and economic issues. I feel like most people fit into the left right pretty well on here with very rare exceptions. I remember Jan Pok(sp) was kinda just a philosophy/spiritual guy and IDL use to be very CT/New World order which distinguished him. Can't think of anyone off the top of my head I would call libertarian but I could be forgetting.

Nah. At least imo, it doesn't. I get annoyed when it goes so deep they start talking about competing private currencies, etc
