He's definitely top 5 imo. I can't count the Jones loses for obvious reasons so he's undefeated in my book and a two division champ, and massively undersized at heavyweight but still destroys people. Haye DC or love DC his name is high in the books.

Hmm.. I wouldn't say he's massively undersized at hw, in fact, that is where he started and where he belongs. He's a wide, big boned guy and his girth makes up for the few inches of height he lacks.

I would say probably top 3 now. In my personal order: Fedor, GSP, DC.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion but for me, I don't ignore the Jones fights. If DC were on Jones' level, he wouldn't be getting completely outclassed in all areas including wrestling which is his bread and butter. Those fights were not even close.

Contrary to what many uneducated fans think, steroids are not some magic injection that gives you all of the skills in the world and makes you look like Ultimate Warrior. I am not a Jones fan at all but it is pretty obvious he is a better wrestler and overall fighter than DC and there is no shame in that because Jones is the best ever.

The idea that 8 rounds of fighting can be magically ignored because of a failed test and that DC is suddenly considered to be better than Jones is pretty silly IMO. I think people are mostly just frustrated that the best fighter ever has screwed up many times and made the sport look bad so they want to rewrite history but the fact remains, neither of those fights were close and Jones was obviously better.

TLDL: DC is a top 5 GOAT but not #1.

Jon Juice Jones is a cheat and fought his way as dirty as he could to win fights on top of having a physical advantage over everyone.

Cormier stepped into giant's land and KO'd the longest defending HW champion in UFC history.

Cormier > Jones

And it's not even close.

I don't think he compares to the likes of GSP, Fedor, Aldo, Anderson or Jones. One big accomplishment is about having the right opportunities line up and then performing on a given night. Consistently being on top for years and years is much, much more difficult and more deserving of praise

So if DC is a GOAT now, what happens if Brock beats him. Brock The GOAT? Lmao. I feel that this hw division just went to some super random waters and that most of the fights in the division would probably end differently if rematched. Even 10 fights, same 2 guys, good chance for 5-5.

Examples: Stipe-Reem, Werdum-Volkov ( actually werdum beats him hard if he is in shape), Ngannou- Lewis, JDS-Reem, blaydes-ngannou and even now Stipe-DC. I need to see this one at least one more time to prove me that dc is really the better fighter.
