Where did the Chuck fans gravitate to?

I knew Chuck before I even heard the word UFC

Someone with a fanbase that was that large having very few active fans is amazingly bad lol. No disrespect to the legend but it’s a phenomena of its own
He sounds like some trailer park trash brawler with a limited moral compass from the book he wrote before his brain turned to mush.

And thats where the problem is. Whether you love him or hate him, he's badly brain damaged and no one wants to promote that image.

Neither did Fedor stop this lol
Except the Fedor fans are constantly creating lies and changing the narratives about Fedor career, Liddell fans moved on, Liddell was great at his time and he’s properly rated, while other fan bases are in constant denial about their fighters, Fedor Emelianenko for one.

I was team Randy, so I didn't really like Chuck during his run. It was a great rivalry though. Looking back now, I can definitely appreciate Chuck more than I used to. He certainly wasn't boring. I guess the answer to the OP is; same thing that happens to fans of any fighter that retires and used to be popular. We just go on fanboying for someone else.

Chuck provided many outstanding moments. Some of those moments he was the hammer and some of those moments he was the nail, but Chuck, for the most part, was must see TV. I mean damn he brought the excitement. Grateful to Chuck for being the type of fighter he was. With that said, he hung around a little too long. Happens. He also appears to have some CTE, hard to watch. I think if he had hung it up after the Silva win he might be remembered a bit different for the relative newbs, but those four losses were brutal. Just brutal. I enjoyed him and I've not gone anywhere. Thanks to Chuck.

Big fan of Chuck, unfortunately he was in the wrong Org and was past it by the time the other top LHW's made the trip over.

But I think people will always love him. I certainly will. He looked like a street fighter character and his nonchalance at throwing hands, you knew this was one tough hombre

If I hit someone like guy mezger hit him, and he got up like he did, i'd just leave. Fuck this hahaha

Nothing against the guy, but I always found him and his whole schtick kinda lame, and the fact that he was always Danas little favorite company man makes me care even less about him.

I don't understand that. What schtick did he even have?

Also they had a good relationship and Chuck legit was the top man at LHW over there, not cos Dana helped him or gave him unfair title shots. Etc

"Nothing against the guy but he's lame and his Schtick is lame....but nothing against the guy, not a damn thing"

Doesn't he still have the record for most consecutive KOs/TKOs? I think its 7.
Chuck bless

Same I saw his face a lot and I didn’t know who he was until I saw mma fights on YouTube around 2009/2010

For me it was those Lipton Iced Tea commercials, and he was on The Best Damn Sports Show a lot

Wasn't a big fan of Chuck when he was competing, but he has grown on me.

His resume has aged very well IMO. I've gone back to watch quite a few of his fights, which is honestly more than I can say of for example GSP.

I've seen lots of threads saying like: Chuck Lidell in his prime would pose a big thread to Jon Jones. Great takedown defense, he could keep Jones on his feet and KO him.

Now, those threads have obviously become less frequent by time. Cuz Chuck wasn't really a world beater, he was never - even in his prime - a GOAT candidate.
This
Chuck was game, respected, tough and ballsy af.. but never a world beater..

He was UFC Posterboy, and MMA Darling for so long..
