Where did the Chuck fans gravitate to?

Always been a big Chuck fan, but he retired 15 years ago, why the fuck would we log onto Sherdog and talk about him every day?

Sometimes it's best to think about your next post, and then realise it's fucking stupid and not do it.

Unfortunately it looks like we'll never get an old school room on Sherdog, so there really is very little reason to talk about the Gods. Until some fucktard asks a dumb question like this
Nobody’s pussy was hurt from this thread but yours so I consider it a win you being a cunt and all. Bitch stay off anything else I post and we will be just fine

Most of them are adults now and don't bother with getting triggered with every GOAT tread

This is just a bizarre thread where TS has created an alternate universe and now wants to convince everyone that it's reality.

Thing is I can only speak my own experience and Randy absolutely has been talked about for his past or Affliction FAR more than Chuck. Chuck wilted approximately as I was a newbie to the sport and I understand better fighters come along but Chuck appreciation aged like pizza on the counter
he didn't exactly go out in a blaze of glory, that could have something to do with it.

I’m still here…

As for why he doesn’t get mentioned, people only really bring up the old school unless they’re talking about GOATs, and I don’t think Liddell really belongs in that conversation…

Same place nearly every other UFC-only fan went... to the next trend they were programmed to love.

UFC promoted their brand over fighters. Which is why their fans didn't have much fighter loyalty. Even now that UFC is a monopoly you can see that at any given moment it is all about the people the UFC promotes TODAY as opposed to previously.

Remember before Anderson lost in the UFC? At the height of their marketing of him being the GOAT? The majority of every UFC-brand-fan here was worshipping him. Guess what happened after... guess where he is today after leaving the UFC and competing elsewhere in boxing...

It isn't a bug of the UFC that its fans are usually fairweathers. It is by design.

A lot of responses here are way off.

It was Chuck and Wand as #1 back n forth depending on the day for years.

Then Rampage beat him the 2nd time. His chin 1st cracked in That fight. 1st time I think we went out. His style was very dependent on his chin (eat one to give a harder one)

After that it was more or less clear that Shogun was the true #1 since he absolutely destroyed Rampage and pretty much every LHW in Pride which had most of the top 10.

Him, Tito, Randy all declined at the same time as the best of Pride LHW. Chucks end of career run was sad as it is for many greats in boxing and mma who stay too long. All the lhw from the golden era are pretty much forgotten now.

At his peak which last for a few year I'd say given his reach, chin, power, tdd, he'd be a top 5 throughout the JBJ, DC LHW era.

I could see him dropping DC or Jon. He pretty much had death touch, maybe not quite as vicious as Rumble but maybe #2.

His grappling/wrestling defense was better than any LHW since aside from DC, JBJ, Glover.

Peak Chuck v Machida, Shogun, JBJ, DC, Rumble would be absolutely sick.

He may lose to most of those but wouldn't be surprised if he actually TKOs many of them

I’m still here bromo, I’m just not that vocal. Chuck fought a long time ago and never got into coaching like I hoped he would. He almost beat up Johnny Drama in Entourage tho, that was cool.

All I know for a few years there he was the biggest show in the ufc. His fights were exciting and so.was he. Legit champ beat some all time greats on the way as well. I wish the ufc had a couple chucks right now

Chuck is pre fight kit UFC, times change, fighters age out and new fighters arrive. The new trend fans love is the beard no stache brand of fighters.

The fan base resets itself with certain fighters. Chuck, Brock, Ronda, Conor, Izzy all had fairweather fans

IMO Chuck's surge in popularity was due to the TUF crowd, who disappeared over time. Then Chuck went on a skid and disappeared from the public eye.
