I picked Conor too. For the first round, if he lands on Robbie what he landed on Nate, he'd win. 1 of those upper cuts would probably put Robbie on queer street. But Robbie is much bigger.
 
Tbh when Conor KO'd Jose Aldo in 13 seconds it was so overwhelmingly spectacular, it was easy to overhype his striking abilities. He actually did smash the living shit out of Nate to be fair, but his power shots weren't effective at all lmao. Can't believe Nate didn't flip him off. Nick probably would have. It's the vegan gainz suppressing his badboy instincts.
 
I said that Lawler is basically the only WW that Conor could have a small chance, since he never wrestles and doesn't mind getting hit. Any other top WW would ragdoll Conor.

Nate has a better chin and more reach than Robbie. Most of the fight we just saw consisted of Conor outstriking Nate.

I thought that, but maybe not. Maybe the impact of Conor's punches don't carry into the higher weight classes. Nate wasn't even rocked, he was just pushed off balance a few times it looked like. Maybe mildly wobbled at most.

If Conor does ever face Lawler it would be fucking ridiculous. You have to be the bravest man alive to be that small and step into a fucking cage with this monstrous psycho standing across from you:

Nate uncharacteristically was going backwards the whole fight. Like Holloway and Siver. Conor couldn't trap him like he could Mendes. Diaz going backwards is why he was able to take Conor's shots.
 
Conor doesn't have enough power in his strikes to take out the larger men, it's just physics. No one wanted to listen when this was stated to them before. Now maybe they'll listen. He has no business at WW, and LW may be tough for him as well. Not to mention his chin will not hold up to these larger fighters, as we saw tonight. MMA fans can be pretty damn dumb, or they just lack the knowledge.
