I'm curious if anyone here is like me when you read "Joanna Jedrzejczyk"

This doesn't necessarily mean how you think it's pronounced in real life (but you could reply with that) but personally I first read the name loooong before I heard it said, and as a mental shortcut my brain just replaced Jedrzejczyk with something else

Whenever I read her name my brain processes it as...
Joanna Jerseydick

In honor of her toughest defense coming up, anyone else do something similar when reading her name?

I have a shortcut on my phone.

Jędrzejczyk Jędrzejczyk Jędrzejczyk

Whenever I read her name, I think of Mr. Mxyztplk.

I don't even try to sound out that mess of a name

We Europeans have the same problem with names like Jon Jones.

We tend to pronounce it: Joghadryzckywitz Jonasdrowotrimitz

Just a cultural thing i guess.

You got dick on your mind ts.

Subconsciously you're craving the d.

I am not literate enough, to pronounce such big names...

I think the first time I said it was something like... Johanna "jar-deh-ski" both with American J sounds

Now it sounds like a Canadian hockey player when I think about it
