When will we get the first CTE results from UFC fighting?

It's always nfl getting the CTE reports and I get it a 300lb dude thst runs a sub 5 40 running full speed collision will shake shit up. But I always figured MMA and Boxing would have alot more. Shockingly Hendo looks okay I thought he would be a vegetable by now and im shocked Gaethje can atill form sentences.

I mean this is 5 years old this year.

So if you're keeping up, about 5 years ago.

Edit - forgot Goodridge been talking about his own experience since 2012, so 14 years ago.

What the fuck you mean?

We already got plenty of guys who have it.

Who DOESNT have it, is a better question.
"Not saying I got it, but if if I got it you got it."
R.I.P. ODP.

Spencer Fisher and Nam Phan have clearly shown the effects of fighting. CTE is no joke. We've seen first hand with football players how it impacts their lives and decision making. It's quite sad.
Shane carwin was an engineer who last i heard has trouble tying his shoes.

I would say anyone involved in the class action lawsuits likely have it.

Yes but CHuck got it from nasty punches in the stand-up, he wasn¨t ground and pounded for a career. The other guy I can't comment on.
Not a career of it but Randy and Rampage gave it to him pretty good on the mat.

I¨ve always felt this sport is too good to be true and that we will find this out when the first wave get into senior years.

and what happens to it then..

Could he have been saying that simply because there was a lawsuit getting stalled and he wanted his money now?

Carwin has also had a lifetime of back issues (from collegiate football+wrestling), and that's going to make tying your shoes more difficult (the football also doesn't help with CTE either).

Im sure i read dana and co were actually trying to help him at one stage and basically said it was due to cte.

Chuck certainly has it, I was watching UFC 22 a few months ago, great event, the Tito vs Frank Shamrock fight is sooooo good, anyways before Chucks fight they had interviews from both fighters and Chuck was so easy to understand, very clear

Fast forward to 2026 and he mumbles constantly, its very hard to understand what he is saying.. especially if its a lot of words. Lots of mumbles and babbling. He definitely wasn't like that in UFC 22.

Gary Goodridge first comes to mind, as I saw a clip online of him talking about it.

It wouldn't surprise me if more and more people start coming out with it.

Yeah, him and Chuck are very noticeable as they both kind of slur their speech and have to take pauses when talking.

Tito is another one that gets mentioned but I think his trash talking game has actually leveled up now so who knows

Chuck speaks worse post UFC than Evander Holyfield and Evander isn't doing great.

Can't put all the blame on CTE with a heavy drug user.

Chuck always mumbled tho.

But yeah his wife or ex wife said that he has alot of health problems now, and has sleep apnea too
