Might have been Hughes, facing BJ and GSP within 2 months of each other in 2006.

Regardless of Hughes as a person, he had huge balls as a fighter.

Looks like Tito did when he headlined both UFC 50 (October 2004) & 51 (February 2005).


ETA: after a quick glance, looks like Tito had a couple back-to-back headliners, as well as Randy Couture. Looks like Pedro Rizzo did as well.

I meant their rematch at UFC 63. But checking now I'm seeing Hughes defended against GSP at UFC 65. UFC 64 in between was Anderson beating Ace for the MW title in October 2006.

All of a sudden I feel old.
