Theres been 2 threads on it recently. Everyone is telling me to watch it. I loved the office obviously. So I fired up parks on netflix and I'm on season 1 and its boring as hell. Ive seen a few random episodes on TV that were decent but so far I'm not enjoying it.

Late in season 2 I think is when they brought in the cast for the remainder of the show. Season 1 isn’t very good, but it only takes like 2 hours to watch the whole thing.

Yeah im on the last episode

In my opinion, after they moved away from that pit storyline in season 1. They avoided that pitfall in season 2 and it started getting better. But really after Mark Brendanawicz left it got much better

Ron is great right out of the gate and only gets better with time.

That first guy Lesley liked was really boring and the show losing him was a definite improvement.

Yes. Absolutely this.

I took note. Who is this discount jim

I liked it right from the beginning but they changed things up and got a bit wackier in season 2 so its worth sticking with it

Towards the end of season 2 theres some major cast changes and the show really takes off and becomes classic at that point

No spoilers but fair warning, stop after season 6
The final episodes of season 6 are the perfect way to end that show and season 7 is a steaming pile of horse shit that ruins so much of what came before it so its best to avoid it altogether

It never gets great, especially if you're comparing it to the office. Above me is right though, it doesn't starting getting better until season 2.

Leslie is irritating AF, def no Michael Scarn

She and Ben get too much screen time, he really annoyed me

but not as much as this clown. He ever made me laugh

But thankfully Ron mocked him endlessly. Even though he's a poorly portrayed "libertarian", he's a good character, with great delivery.

And of course Aubrey is sexy AF, another bright spot. I liked her character a lot.

I liked Rob Lowe for a couple of seasons, but his character's shtick got old, same for Pratt

I never finished the series (last season I think), where I've probably watched the office 10 times

that show is just alright if youre a normal person. but its fucking phenomenal if you are a young 20s white chick that loves starbucks

It never really gets good, imo, I watched three seasons because people said it becomes great... but it just never rises over midling.

It does get better as it goes on. I’ve seen those threads too though and IMO the posters on here generally overrate the show. It’s good, but there’s plenty of better comedies out there. It’s also no Office

you could tell ron wasnt a libertarian in the s2 ep.21 when the ex parks director talked about smoking weed and ron was anti weed or legalization.

brendanawicz had his moments like when he helped ron get his death trap of a wood shop up to code that had some gags.
