When did you think the loser was the better fighter

Colby vs Usman , honest opinion, feel like Colby breaking his jaw was very unlucky and he probably would have won the fight if not for it. Not gonna bring up any eyepoke etc arguments, no point of discussing. Made it to final round and the way judges scored , they had it so whoever won the 5th round would've won decision. Respect to Usman but I still feel he's second best to Colby until he fights him again.

colby didn't break his jaw. usman broke his jaw. he punched clobby in the face and it broke. clobby didn't slip over on the way to the octagon and smack his jaw into a step.

lmao

no way,no one other than you thinks this
JJ against Zhang...should have won that fight
She fought well but I think the judges got it right.

whenever DC lost to Stipe

Carwin beat Lesnar like 5 times in one match. But the ref didn't stop it so he gassed himself out. Watch that fight compared to the stoppages we got the other weekend and you would wonder if it's even the same sport.

UFC is kind of rigged in some ways. Just look at Lesnar's run to the title (1-1 with only win against very aged fighter) plus a title defense that he pretty much just had to show up to win.....all pretty much scripted + the help of catching Randy with a lucky shot. How do they stop Mir vs Lesnar 2 but not Lesnar vs Carwin?

Lesnar was the the most coddled fighter in UFC history until Conor came along. (honorable mention to aging Randy)

Not the same as you thought the loser one a decision but when did you think the loser was the better fighter if they lost a decision, got koed or submitted. I feel like DC is better than Stipe despite going 1 - 2.
Dude you took my answer. If a little bite younger dc fought him in the rematches he smashes him.

Page got a title shot off of that "win" too. And Jones fans act like lhw was such a deep division during his reign.
Lol I'm not gonna say it's just Jones fans. The "hardcore" mma community in general acted as if that division was deeper than it was. They talk about today's divisions not being deep because they can't recognize the difference between big talent and big name value.

Back then 205 just had the most famous fighters.

Constantly. MMA fans really think that the better fighter wins, but holy shit is that not a given in this sport and it's annoying how many people take that for granted.

Some examples off the top of my head?
-I think Aldo clearly gave the Moraes fight away. It wasn't a robbery. He was winning and looked sharper/better, then he just stopped.
-Bisping-Silva wasn't a robbery either. Not by the judges, nor the ref, cuz Bisping was never KO'ed. But it did look like Silva won almost every time he exchanged, he just didn't exchange enough. He was happy getting punched repeatedly just cuz he thought he could hit Bisping whenever he wanted.

But there's way too many to count. And that's just in the specific fight on the night, leaving out what a lot of what this has already expanded to, like "career-wise" better fighters

Aldo Yan. Aldo basically outstruck Yan for 2.5 rounds, and a prime Aldo would have wrecked Yan. Same thing for Aldo Moraes.

Plus JJ vs Zhang. I thought JJ should have won the decision, and there is a good debate to be made about whether JJ is out of her prime.
Aldo in his prime gassed plenty. I'd say the fight was back and forth until Yan started to pull ahead and Aldo started getting tired.

I think it was Martin Kampman vs Thiago Alves

One of them had the fight in the bag 14 minutes into a 3 round fight and decided to dive for an ill advised shot and pretty much put themself in a guillotine.

Wonderboy vs Pettis - Wonderboy clearly was the far, far superior fighter. Volkov vs Black Beast. Askren vs Masvidal (fluke knee). Jones vs Reyes (Jones lost, but he is the better fighter but had a terrible performance). Rockhold vs Bisping.

Lots of fights where the better fighter win. Then there are many cases where you very biased/subjectively THINK that the losing fighter was better, but some cases are more unbiased/objective like Wonderboy and Pettis.
