When did 'TRT Vitor" become a thing?

images

here he is 19 years old no trt but full juice
Reminds me of Paulo Costa.

This is a bad take. The Vitor that fought Anderson was on a 5 fight win streak, with 4 KO's leading up to that fight. After Anderson slept him, he went on to go 5 for 6, with finishes over Akiyana, Rumble, Bisping, Rockhold, and Hendo. The only people he lost to in 12 fights were Jon Jones and Anderson Silva, and he finished 9/10 of the other fights.
Wasn't he basically retired before fighting Anderson, though? He hadn't fought for a year and a half before the Anderson fight.

I love that KO but don't pretend that was Vitor at his best. And I'm an Anderson fan, so don't pretend I'm some hater either

Never. He’s just still “pulsing” from his first UFC days

Haha I came to post this. I’d say he was more steroid Belfort back then but he’s certainly been on T since before he came to the ufc.

TRT is steroids. A TRT exemption just allows fighters with low T, usually from abusing steroids but sometimes from glandular problems like Bigfoot, to use a small amount of steroids to get their levels back to normal. Vitor and a few other guys, Hendo was another iirc, abused the hell out of it and got it banned.

No, Anderson got injured, and then Vitor got injured, followed by another Anderson injury. Vitor was offered Okami but decided to wait for the Anderson title fight. He was never retired. Vitor fought at 103, was supposed to fight Anderson at 108, but they didn't actually fight until 126.

Back then was way more fair than todays UFC.
Back then Vitor had chances of meeting other uber juciers.
Todays UFC roidboy Jones is allowed to compete with roids in his blood but his opponent must be USADA tested clean. Nothing can be seen in blood samples of Jones opponents.
Before USADA was way more equal to all athletes.

U are a enciclopedia

For some unknown reason people like to take out a very small portion size of Vitor Bumforts career I.e the only time he had a decent win streak against alright/decent opponents and label it “TRT Vitor” because TRT was legal at the time and obviously he was off his bonce on TRT.

The point is moot because Vitor was juiced to the gills for the entirety of his career, much more so than the TRT era and as anyone with a working set of eyes can see, despite that he’s garbage and gets destroyed by the vast majority of good fighters he faces.

It was from my memory that Vitor was an incredibly dissapointing fighter until around 2008 and then he just started knockin dicks into the dirt. A lifelong roider,he might have found something that was actually having him win consistently, but I dont know if it was TRT then too or not.

TKS man. People shitting on Vitor as if he Just relied on TRT are delusional. He was an obsessed fighter, and got better with time. Even on that Silva fighter he was on a great shape
lol @ people defending Vitors life long cheating

He was already fucking pulsating against Jones at 152. Still cannot believe he just let go of that arm bar

You are correct. He started his best run in 2008, which ended in 2013. He fought Silva in 2011. It certainly seemed to be the TRT that changed his career trajectory.
