This is a bad take. The Vitor that fought Anderson was on a 5 fight win streak, with 4 KO's leading up to that fight. After Anderson slept him, he went on to go 5 for 6, with finishes over Akiyana, Rumble, Bisping, Rockhold, and Hendo. The only people he lost to in 12 fights were Jon Jones and Anderson Silva, and he finished 9/10 of the other fights.

Jones and AS beat Trtor which was Vitor when he was taking Trtor when it was allowed in the UFC. Cause of the aura around AS at that time Belfort trt or not wasn't going to treat that fight the same. He was cautious enough to give AS all the time he needed to kick him in the face. And Jones is Jones closest anyone come to finishing him but once Jones broke out of that flukey sub it was over. At time was referred to as Jones "beating a MW" now it might be Jones best resume moment.

But yeah Belfort even before Trtor mostly either won his fights in the first round via finish or lost(some close decision losses though) for example some guys now throw more sig strikes in 2 or 3 fights than Vitor did his whole 20 year career. Because of this hype might have had more to do with this being Vitors first real streak than the TRT as an earlier streak might have looked similarly as dominant. But no doubt at 35 he looked incredible.
