When critics try to give marvel movies a bad review

People that write off all "comic books" are just being close minded, and really don't know what they're talking about. There is plenty of variety, and a vast difference between movies like Avengers, Logan, Civil War, GOTG, Black Panther, Deadpool, the Nolan Batman movies, etc.
They're all based in comics, and for some reason people have this dumb misconception that they're all campy and for kids.
I just started reading comics again, and Im reading Black Panther now. The TChalla there gets teenage girls from different tribes to be his bodyguards....andddddd potential future wives(high school age girls)....that shit ain't geared towards children.
If you can't find at least one Marvel movie that is entertaining it's because you haven't watched them.

They are among the best action movies being made today.
I loved Marvel/DC comics but somehow don't really care for the movies. I saw a lot of them and yeah they are watchable but they simply don't fascinate me like many other movies genres.

Birdman was a fucking masterpiece. Could argue for all time top 5 status. Some of y'all need some goddamn culture

Yeah, as I become more cynical with age, the old good guys vs bad guys concept of superheroes or action movies isn't enough for me anymore and I need something more in a movie or tv show to really attract me.

Film criticism seems to be inherently subjective but at the same time we can in fact criticize certain practices like their lack of color grading and the sloppy shaky cam of their fight scenes. In general Marvel streamlines its production in such a way that key elements of the film become standardized to their detriment.

But I know Marvel fanboys are not exactly known for being receptive to criticism of their pleb capeshit movies.

Shaky cam? Have you seen Marvel movies?

Wheres the shaky cam? Theres clearly a focus in nearly every moment of every action scene, and it's never difficult to follow whats happening. Sorry, the majority of Marvel action sequences are clean and sharp. Thats not the same thing as good. Which is why my reply is objectively true, and your criticism is vague, subjective and also ultimately incorrect.

Maybe you meant quick cuts? I guess? But those are pretty much a staple of action scenes and single shot sequences are very rare.

Criticisms is one thing. But randomly generated criticisms that seems arbitrarily made up are another. You might as well say "I hate Dustin Hoffmans performance in the marvel movies." It'd be easier to understand if you had maybe a single example? Saying "color grading" seems like the kind of thing someone makes up when they dont have anything substantial to say.

I started checking out of BP discussions once folks started saying Killmonger was Ledger Joker level.
