Who is going to be holding the belt at 145? There is no division in MMA with as many exciting up and coming prospects and contenders. When it's all said and done, and all these guys get their opportunities... who is the last man standing with the title of all the talented under 30 guys?

Max Holloway: 26 years old, 19-3,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: UFC champion with 1 defence, Aldo x2, Pettis, Stephens, Lamas, Swanson, 12 fight win streak.
Significant losses: Poirier, McGregor

Brian Ortega: 27 years old, 14-0-0 (1NC),
Significant wins and accomplishments include: Edgar, Swanson, Moicano, Guida, Brandao, finished every fight of his career, black belt under Rener Gracie, ranked #1
Significant losses: None

Calvin Kattar: 29 years old, 18-2,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: 10 fight win streak, Fili, Burgos, ranked #13
Significant losses: Two regional promotion defeats

Yair Rodriguez: 25 years old, 10-2,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: BJ Penn, Fili, Caceres, Hooker, TKD blackbelt, ranked #10 Significant losses: Edgar

Mirsad Bektic: 27 years old, 12-1,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: Pepey, Martins, Doane, Skelly, ranked #12
Significant losses: Elkins

Doo-Ho Choi: 26 years old, 14-2,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: Tavares, Sicilia, Puig, ranked #14
Significant losses: Swanson, Stephens

Zabit Magomedsharipov: 27 years old, 14-1,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: Santiago, Moraes, ACB champion and Grand Prix winner, Significant losses: one regional promotion loss

Alexander Volkanovski: 29 years old, 17-1,
Significant wins and accomplishments include: Kenedy, Young, Hirota, Kasuya, AFC champion
Significant losses: one regional promotion loss

Which one of these guys holds the title in a division that looks like it has a lot of new blood about to come through?

I think it's all going to come down to Holloway vs Magomedsharipov

Such a fun division..

Zabit is still my boy..

Kenny here,

You left out Connor Mcgregor. He said he has exciting news coming. I think it is possible that a rematch with Max is on the Horizon.

He would make a lot of money.

Looking forward to Ortega v Max - should be interesting. T-City is looking tough and smart. Should be a great scrap. Think that winner holds it for a few.

Any fight between McGregor and Holloway will almost certainly be at 155. Conor is too big and Max is quickly approaching being too big, he's even said so himself

Right now holloway is on another level. None of those guys match up well with him.

Hard to say "when all the dust is settled" because there's no end point. The dust will never be settled because there will always be a new contender and a new champ

I thought Yair quit fighting because he doesn't want his face messed up and ruining his acting career?

A fighter can grab the title, hold it and prove they're the best of the generation until a younger fresher fighter comes up and beats him.

Silva before Weidman, GSP before retirement, DJ currently etc.

It's completely arbitrary timeline wise and so on but this is my thread so fuck it.

Who you picking bro?

Kattars boxing is fantastic, a joy to watch. He is my dark horse of the division

Definitely not, Superboy, Volkanovski and Yair.

It's funny because I remember there being a poll on who the biggest featherweight prospect was a few months, maybe a year back. And everyone had Ortega at the bottom of their list.

Is Elkins not a prospect at 145 anymore?
