Does RDA get zero dollars now ?

Or is there something in the contract that allows him a small payment ?

No, why would they? They literally get payed to fight. They don't have a salary.

LOL no, could you imagine RDA sitting at home laughing throwing a huge stacks of bills in the air.

Hell, I can not fight in the octagon too. Can I get paid for pretending to show up too?

They do, in a passive way, not necessarily from the ppv, but from all the benefits and promotional opportunities of being a champ. Do you think "The Baddest Man Alive" Cain Velasquez didn't milk his status for his 2 years off not fighting?

If you're a PPV headliner, not only should you get paid nothing, you should pay the UFC back for failing to deliver. That's what the UFC should do for their future PPV main eventers: either get your standard show/win, or get a % cut of the PPV but if you opt for the latter, you need to be penalized for pulling out.

Sure Dana, whatever you say.

Really dude? It's still a job right? Like no workmans compensation? Got hurt training should mean something shouldn't it?
Training is NOT part of the job, the only job they are paid, is to fight. Them training is on their own terms.

Oh

Oh shit! Then if that's the case I'd be training with hockey gear lol! That sucks but makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

Nonono, they get health benefits. The UFC pays for their medical bills if they get hurt outside of training, and it's been doing this for a few years now. That other guy's just talking out his ass.

Uh, in this case? We don't know if they gave him money or not. Nick claimed Conor knew for weeks that RDA was being replaced.

Stefan Struve got paid his show money (and might have got his win money too) when he pulled out of a fight with a heart issue. His opponent got paid too.

It happens in rare events, last minute cancellations shit like that.

No fighter would ever accept fights then. For most fighters, even some PPV headliners, they barely make enough for medical injuries + camp bills + life style If they endure an injury which is a very realistic probability in an injury prone sport like this then the extra liability + medical fees would pull away almost all new comers, the UFC would come to a halt as it is.

What needs to instead be placed is a better measure with contingency fighters, well trained, and an optional clause for fighters who have to take on the insurance fighters, in which, if they DO take the fight they should get paid a premium.

Cain and Aldo would be shit rich if that were the case

no, no show=no pay. now, with champs, they may have a small clause added in to get something, but sometimes fighters are fined for no show.

Pretty sure their injury insurance covers them for up to $50 grand a year or something like that.

You are pretty stupid. No. You are remarkably stupid.

When you start paying your employer for every day that you are unable to go to work is when you can talk. Except you would never do that. Because it makes no sense. Just like what you said makes no sense.

But then again, what should I expect from someone with remarkable levels of stupid.
