Cruz beat Dillashaw who was far and away the number 1 bantamweight, AND he hadn't fought in 2-3 years with the exception of his quick finish against Mizugaki, his only loss is to Faber which he avenged and will probably stomp in their 3rd fight. Unless Cormier upsets Jones, I don't see how he is 6th

Its about as relevant as the Horcher Khabib fight though.

cormier loses only to jones hes beaten the most dangerous lhw has to offer besides that.
the top 5 at lhw is as dangerous as any.
that and dominant shutout wins at hw, all while being a pudgy lhw who could fight at mw if it wasnt for is organs and diet
he has defende his belt (rockhold/werdum/conor)
he fights regularly(cruz)

i simply do not consider lawler the best ww in the world, im a fan but he would be an underdog against several ww
but thats a matter of opinion.

you can say he only has the belt cause jones was stripped, but rds is only champ because khabib didnt get his shot
rds loss to khabib was much more dominant by khabib.
if cormier is forever number 2 until jones then rds is that to khabib.
