All this bow talk got me lookI got around the net. The new pse decree ti looks amazing....

I probably won't get it but man it seems awesome for the stuff I like to do (NOT sitting in a tree stand).
 
So, I just found out about the Leupold CDS dials...... I think I have my mind made up now because I like shortcuts/cheating.
 
Bought a Taurus Curve Saturday.

Had been looking at a couple different carry guns and was leaning that direction.

Then saw it on sale at Academy for $300 (lowest I'd seen them was $350) so I bit.

It's the same size as the kel-tec P3T, but has a better trigger and optional laser/light.

Now that 22 ammo has gone down, my next purchase may be a competition grade target pistol.

Looking at the S&W Model 41 currently.
 
Back at the pro shop, at least this guy is cool about un-fucking my bow for free.
 
K, this guy was much cooler than the old fuck I was dealing with. Was thinking with the wrong head yesterday (rushing back to the stealer-ship to chat up the receptionist). This guy had me test shoot the bow at point blank. Still probably have to adjust my sights again, but at least I can go home knowing it's good to go.

Not sure of the intended market.

I'm not used to carrying daily, so was looking for the smallest comfortable carry gun.

Archery is a bit different, I can string my bow and tune it pretty well but I'd like to be able to fletch arrows, I never really tried it. Is think for a guy like you who lives outside of town (so you probably have lots of chances to shoot the bow) that it would be well worth your time to be able to get your bow up and running should you have an issue.

I'd probably also keep a 2nd bow around, nothing too nice in case I had an issue where my bow was down for a few weeks.

I do have my old Bowtech, dunno if I'd hunt with it, I just keep it around because I'd take a bath selling it. I do like the idea of picking up a backup bow eventually, maybe the APA Viper Air, which is their single cam bow. Seems pretty easy to work on.

And to make things even more expensive, i also have a left hand bow, just a cheap one I got used and I try to pull it, 50-75% as much as I pull my normal now when I'm really ramping up my practice. There was a point I was firing just ahit loads of arrows and my upper back and shoulders were really bothering me, I listened to an interview on the joe rogan experience and a dude was saying shit pull a left hand bow to balance out the muscles. It worked like a charm...I mean problems solved within a week or 2.

I'd use that bow tech bow you have and set it up for bow fishing...

Ps. I don't fire the left hand bow, I just draw it. I have a non release-release.

Yeah that's cool. Normal day to day carry can be tough to figure out at first, I remember when I first started I was trading in guns left and right because they just weren't working for me and I must have bought a dozen holsters trying to figure out what I liked.

I was thinking about setting it up for bowfishing, actually. But like any compound, it's got let off through and I keep hearing that's bad for bowfishing. Apparently, you want to be able to snap shoot instead of always having to come to full draw and holding.

But what I really want to do with my old Bowtech is this:

Apparently there's a new generation out, maybe the gen2 and it's supposed to be better than the first one.

I had the original in .40 and it was a jam o matic piece of shit, I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. It sort of soured me on CZ firearms in general.

Being able to finger shoot is also got with bow fishing. At one point I had these things installed on my string that were like rollers so you could just grab the string rather than using a release.

Bow fishing is pretty much the most redneck thing ever but it's so much damn fun.
