What's Your Next Purchase? V5

It's pretty hard to beat Vortex's dollar to quality ratio. I've got a 1-6x strike eagle on my AR and outside of a small ring of distortion around the edge at 1 power it is a clear and reliable optic. My only gripe with it is the adjustments are .5 MOA. Also there is no off toggle between each illumination setting on the red dot. I think the vipers fix that problem.

Edit: another gripe I have with the strike eagle is they are made in China, I think they're the only Vortex optic made in China though.
I think Vortex has a lot of PARTS made in China but it's all constructed/put together in the States on most everything else.

Vortex is pretty much all good shit, even their lower end stuff is a great value for the $$$.

My main complaint is that their stuff is sort of heavy so they do t really have much of a presence in the Alaskan hunting scene where pretty much every oz counts for fly in hunting.

I know dozens of people personally and hundreds that would be all over a light weight offering from them.

I may end up putting a vortex on my m70 extreme just because that's not really a light gun anyways so I don't care about 5-6 extra ounces, but I can't go putting one on my kimber.

The Strike Eagle is made in China, I think it is the only one made in China at this time by Vortex. Still a great optic.

CZ Bren 805 w/ a bunch of upgrades including a primary arms red dot on a QD riser for $1700. Thinking about offering $1500 and seeing if we meet near $1600. I do not need this rifle as I have more than a dozen AR's that shoot .223

...hrrmmm...

I am debating getting a 10mm down the road as a backup or when I am hunting as we have bears and shit out where I live (same with Utah which would be the only real feasible place for me to move at any point int he near future) and was looking at like a Glock 20 as I really like my 23 and intend to do a Polymer80C build at some point but is there any other model guns in that chamber you'd suggest?

I know there are several 1911 options but a lot of the more reputable ones seem to be a bit pricey other than say Rock Island.

Tangfolio witness all day man. Good price, its basically a 10mm CZ 75. great shooting gun. they got one in polymer which ive fired plenty and a match grade thats a steel gun similar in weight to a 1911.

Almost looks too fancy for me. lol

It's definitely fancy for a .22. But for target shooting having 50-220 yards bdc and sub sonic bdc it's pretty awesome. 3-12 is nice for target shooting, imo if you aren't hunting I'd rather have 3-12 vs 2-7. Also FFP, .25 moa adjustments, reset to 0, illumination, adjustable objective, etc. Basically fully loaded with features.

Grrrrrrrr. Now you're really making me want the fucker. You should buy it and I'll trade you something for it. :D

Those seem to come in endless variety now. How'd you make up your mind? <cheer>

Ummmm to be honest....I don't know much about guns, so all of the p320's are the same to me

I just wanted one that's full sized.

I'm a huge fan of the glock, and you can never go wrong with a glock.. but I'm replacing it with the P320....... glock 43 is my concealed carry tho
