There are so many awesome guitars made in Japan, especially all of those licensed Gibson guitars made over there in the 80's/90's. Great value. Japanese guitars are on the same level as current USA made guitars, IMO.

Does your E-II have EMGs or passive pickups?


I've eyed PRS's before. Never handled one, but they're supposed to be a guitar player's guitar. My EBMM Axis is similar in it's a blend of Fender and Gibson.

BTW, what year is your Gibson?

Yeah, that’s the ticket. Eclipses have to have EMGs and HAVE to be black! Rare guitar. It’s kinda weird seeing an Eclipse that doesn’t have “LTD” on the headstock. That’s how rare the ESP E-IIs are. No one will sell theirs as I’m sure you won’t either.

I feel no different at 40 than I did at 25 in terms of being content with myself. At present, I'm seeing two close male friends seemingly going through a terrible mid-life crisis (messaging chicks behind their wives' backs and most likely having affairs, desperate for 'boys weekends away' when at 30, they weren't interested, that type of stuff).

I can see tragic marriage breakups and breakdowns on the horizon, just makes me feel grateful I'm at peace with myself and happy to be doing what I'm doing with no stress or mental health issues.
