God of War did well at GJA last week so it's cool to see a couple dawgs picking the title for themselves as well. Miyazaki getting the Lifetime nod was good stuff; dude is the man. Here were the results:

2018 has been garbage for games, and I haven't even gotten through games I bought in 2016, much less this year, but my GOTY is AC Odyssey, with Dead Cells my indie GOTY.

RDR2 easily.

I just realized all of the new games I played this year came out in 2017. I was going to throw out Hat in Time.




My game of the year is just going to be Breath of the Wild again.

Only have PC so no RDR2 or GOW for me.

I'm gonna say my favorite 18 release is Soul Calibur VI with Dragonball Fighterz right behind it. Clearly I have a genre bias...

God of War. It is just incredible (not that RDR2 isn't) and immersive. You learn a great deal about Norse mythology, too. An added bonus.
