What's wrong with the Asian fighters?

Totally agree. When fighters are aggressive to Asian fighters they just wilt. seen it hundreds of times
Have you ever watched any Thai boxing? It might blow your mind if you think Asians aren't aggressive and wilt under pressure.

To my dismay as a half-Asian, I often worry there might be some truth to this.

Take some comfort from the fact that in women's MMA, many still consider Megumi Fujii to have GOAT status, and her protege, Ayaka Hamasaki is currently the Invicta FC atomweight champion.

The small eyes and dark hair are actually phenotypes from South East Africa particularly the Khoisan people.

East Asian people are no more "pure" than any other type of people. Extremely mixed.

You're mixing up your migrations. South East Asian people that migrated first and settled in China and Asia were the first wave out of Africa. There was a second wave that settles in the Caucasus and then separates from there East and West. This second pulse drives off many of the indigenous peoples that you are referring to. There was very little direct genetic transfer between these two groups and the Proto-Sino people drove them on to all the islands about 10k years ago.

Also it's not the Khoasian people of South Africa, it was the San peoples of North East Africa.

has there ever been an Asian fighter that has popped for PEDs?

there's your answer.
I actually had think about that and I am still note coming up up with any names. I would say it's this and they tend not to cut too much weight so they are usually the smaller fighter on fight night.

The Superboy would prob murk Connor.

Genetics. However. Superboy is someone we should watch. Time will tell.

Thanks for corrections. My underlying point is that the phenotypes that are now distinct in East Asia didn't originate there.

From a Muay Thai enthusiast, Thai boxing isn't real fighting. They go down to knives and bullets as easily as jacked white boys and explosive and athletic black dudes.

Talent pool... the heyday of Japanese MMA is long over, and it hasn't blown up yet in China or Korea. If/when it does, expect to see a flood of Asian fighters in the lower weight classes. Most of them will be in OneFC or RoadFC for a while though, the UFC is going to have a hard time pulling talent from those regions at first, just because of the lack of presence and communication.

One place that people sleep on a lot is India- wrestling has a lot of history and culture there, and MMA has recently been featured in some Bollywood movies (it was a key part of the movie "Sultan," which had the biggest opening in Bollywood history). They already have the SFL, and don't be shocked if we see some Indian stars come out of it. That's a huge market that's way more open than China. I think it would be smart of the UFC to scout some Indian talent and try to set up some smaller shows there, just to test the waters.

edit: expect more Thais as well, MMA is picking up some traction there. Not sure if it's still illegal or not, but the Thai government has gone to great lengths to remove any competition Muay Thai might face

India lacks the killer instinct to produce anything other than cricket teams.

Admittedly, combat sports are under represented in the Olympics, but a population of over a billion having the best athlete in exactly 0 activities is pretty damning.

I'm sleeping on India as far as MMA is concerned.
