What's wrong with Jose Aldo?

I didn't use shinguards my junior or senior year playing soccer. I was humbled many times.

Lmao I used to be a massive Conor fan, and I still would like to see him turn his life around

But yes, he really did think this, when he fought Poirier the second time he said he picked Poirier because he’s a southpaw and had a fight lined up with Pacquiao… he fought Poirier with an almost entirely Boxing focused style because he wanted to go back and forth from MMA to Boxing

If Conor stuck to the get rich get out thing he would’ve retired after Eddie
I wasnt talking about you not being a fan I meant coming from me.

And no, he never thought this. The Floyd fight was money. Even Francis said he walked into the Fury fight believing 100% he would lose, and felt super accomplished and happy when he knocked him down in the second rd.

The Alvarez salaries are dif not the type of rich conor was talking about. Conor is smart with money, otherwise he wouldnt have built up and sold that shitty whiskey brand for 600m$.
He wouldn't be able to afford and maintain that lambo yacht if he retired with the few millions he got from Eddie in UfightCheap.

also, if i recall back in the day someone from his team said an injury les to the change in stance more than anything. Again surprisingly the same with Aldo.

You literally have no clue what you’re talking about on multiple different levels but okay

Well thats childish of you.
Could have said we agree to disagree.
We are merely talking about complete stranger’s hidden thoughts based on their public business actions and words on mic.
No need to pop a nerve over this.

His style gradually became more boxing heavy, people like to act as if more recent versions of Aldo's are just straight downgrades because he doesn't kick as much when other parts of his games have grown leaps and bounds since the WEC days.

Wish I could remember where I saw it so I could try to link it but there’s an article (maybe Jack Slack?) that breaks down the numbers throughout Aldo’s career and actually there are only a couple fights where he really threw leg kicks with any serious volume. We all remember his fight with Faber and assume he was throwing kicks like that every fight but even at that time he just wasn’t.

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see him use his kicks more but the truth is he was never a volume kicker outside of a couple fights.
Funny to see how narrative change about him on commentary. At first they talked about him like a BJJ guy before of prior credentials. After that he was leg kick man because of that one Faber fight.
Also before Joe was on the Aldo takedown defence narrative, during the KenFlo fight, Goldie was the one impressed by it while Rogan dismissed it insisting on how Kenny was tiring him out.
TKZ broke his foot by checking a kick in their fight and we never saw a leg kick from Aldo ever again
He leg kicked a bunch in the Yan fight, even a bit during the Martinez one.

It's like Alex Pereira. His kicks in the Ankalaev fight didn't seem as devastating. Nor did his strikes.

Battleworn, his style changed, something about an incident having an effect on his kicking, opened up a burger joint etc.
